RACE TOMORROW.

Hey, sorry everyone, thankyou so much for all the beautiful shout's here, I've been busy with 'bacteria' and clearing the garden for the scaffolding that's being errected on monday here, for the building work. It's been snowing most off the day, but it didn't settle, and there was more to do than I anticipated. Also, it appears that I can still post image's, thank the lord, I've got so much more to show you all.
It has also been the first day of the 2006 F1, qualifying in Bahrain, race live tomorrow at 10:30am, there's been load's of rule changes, new driver's, new team's and I'm loving it all. I'm really looking forward to the race tomorrow.
I've posted a print of Southend pier after a fire had destroyed the bowling alley on the land end of the world famous site, just recently there has been another fire at the other end, there has been some talk of a charity event, at which I would offer my support. This print is almost identical to the one I gave Rachel for Christmas, and that appeared on the show last week on the 'picture behing the piano' part of In The Attic.
I hope everyone like's the print, thank's again for all the great comment's, sorry to Mark T and Happy Birthday mate, you shall get a belated shout this week mate, thanks all, so, I promise I won't leave it this long again, so take care and GMaS.

Lovely print :)
Beleive it or not it actually snowed here this morning! Only for about 5 minutes but still, very unusual for Las Vegas. (I ran outside to watch it)

Take Care

Was raining here in California this A.M. It's an indoors type of Saturday. We have Talia, our little Niece here with us. Thanks for the mention on ITA.

Can't wait to hear "Bacteria", such a curious title. My new one is called "Walking On The Grid" and pays homage to several bloggers and Pete. Doing drums for it today.

I had left you a message over on MySpace, not sure if you are picking those up or not. I really love this sketch of the Pier. Well, looking forward to hearing your new recordings.

Wow, sounds like loads of work if scaffolding is necessary... hope all goes well with the construction. I enjoy F1 from time to time, and this season I will try to watch more. Now that I get the speed channel, it will be on no matter what. And I guess it will be on in the morning here if the qualifying takes place in europe so I'll have to tivo it. I can't wait for the ITA tour! GMaS!

One more thing, that's a great drawing. You make that three dimensonal look very well where the walkway is. That sounds weird, but I don't really know how else to say that...

Mikey, I keep forgetting to pop on your blog and post a favorable comment. You have a gifted talent. WhenI hear you sing, you have Steve Winwood written all over you. Amazing! Do keep doing what your doing. It's sad to see your tunes don't get on the radio over here. Why? I have no clue. But why the present music called hip-hop gets played is one I will always be trying to figure out.

I just don't know.

Just keep doing what your doing!

Dear Mikey

I love love love this piece!
I can see it hanging in my own home.
So far, this one is my favourite!

I heard some of ITA, but it came through a bit choppy. What I could hear was fun & I was kept in the loop (no pun intended...) by everyone in Molly's chat. That was fun!
I didn't go skiing today, although the weather was divine - I had too much housework to get caught up on.
We'll be hitting the slopes tomorrow morning.

Give my regards to Rene & I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

Hi Mikey, really nice of you of you to remember. Thanks for asking Simon about the Southend gig, which I'm really looking forward to. Ticketweb are still showing it as 10th of May. I'm so pleased that things are going the right way for you and I believe that when ITA takes off in a big way (which I'm sure it will) you will get the success you deserve. Sounds a bit creepy but I mean it. Enjoy the F1. Mark

Deal: once I get moved, I am taking whatever EP/CD, whatever is available into a station, into WIDR FM (independent) radio evolution), Anybody else here lives near a college town radio station, do the same.

I realize WIDR is the best station in the country; I do get out and I know what I speak here. I inquired there if anyone had heard of the IAC. Nope. But I took care of that; but then, there isn't too many great shakes on the IAC. Nope. No Never the Bride , to name one; no bands that are no longer together like Concrete Blonde. I heard "Caroline" the other day and felt, ironically, so damn happy. Peel had a lot to do with promoting them, airing them.

So everybody what we need to do, each of us, is a salting of Peel for Mikey here. As soon as I've moved digs, for instance, after the first weekend in May, I'll have a date with WIDR and your EP or your CD or both will be in hand.

Meantime, snow snow go away.

Hi Mikey!!!

Lovely print!!! Can't wait to hear "Bacteria"..I hope you can sing it in "In the Attic" soon..

It seems that Fernando Alonso won again....nobody stops this guy...Everybody adores him here, in Spain...I remember that last year you couldn't hear anything else on the news but his name...Alonso, Alonso....He's very good..All the Spanish kids asked for an Alonso's car for Christmas....it was funny to see so many little Renault cars in the streets, he,he
I think he's leaving Renault and he's going with McLaren...Raikkonen is fantastic too..

Love,

Elena

Dear Mikey

Speaking of the weather, it was an amazing, sunny, warm weekend in the Rocky Mountains.

I was cleaning house yesterday, but we hit the hills today.
Spectacular!

I will be posting photos of my daughter in her high school provincial finals race in snowboarding.

If you have a moment, please check it out.

Thanks & I had a dream about you & Rene last night.
It was a seaside location...

LOL

That was a great race for Raikkonen, started last (or close to it) and ended up third. And for Alonso as well, winning the first race is always a good omen in my eyes. F1 puts NASCAR to shame... GMaS!

Hi Mikey,

This print is more challenging in terms of finding your personality in it. At first glance, there is a simple serenity about it in color and form. But then I look closer and check out the warbly lines of the wood and really see it up close....and then I see the happy/sad thing that seems to be so classically you. I hope I'm not pigeonholing you by continuing to point this out. I just feel that you could draw a summer daisy, and while it would be beautiful, it would have the depth of both happy and sad in it somehow. Only you could make a daisy look like it was longing for something...

What is that about you....? Where does it come from? It's in your music, too.

Or...

Maybe I'm just loopy today. ;-)

Anyway, I'm looking forward to ITA & hearing what you choose to sing.

All the Best,
-Natalie

Formula One in the States is all but forgotten. I understand there is some talk of a return. I guess with the right satellite dish, it still is available. NASCAR (boring) is big. I really miss the days when Jackie Stewert and Francois Cevert were driving. I was a child and they were my heros.
Enjoy the race. IAC time is almost here. Have fun.

Hi Mikey,
I hope you enjoyed the race on Sunday. I used to go to the races(nascar)about 10-12 years ago. Not anymore. As Joe says, boring! I really don't know anything about F1 though. It is probably more exciting.

I wish I could find the inspiration to draw like you. You are so gifted I think you do excellent work. I am currently working on a new drawing, It is still in the planning stage, I have not yet formally started it. Hoefully soon.

I'll be tuning in tomorrow for ITA live. Will you be performing Bacteria? Whatever you do, it is always brilliant!

Waiting in anticipation,

Zoe

Hi Mikey, tried posting last night but there appeared to be a problem with Blogland. Great show on Wednesday, we were watching a show in the West End so I got up at 0530 on Thursday to catch the loop. Tickets arrived today for your gig in Southend. I contacted Riga Music Bar the other day and Dave there sorted out the date with Ticketweb. Hope the scaffolding is up and safe. Mark
