MUM'S HOUSEBOAT.

Hey everyone, I'm really sorry that I've worried you, there is nothing to worry about I assure you. My song's on IAC and MYSPACE have come down, but they will be replaced shortly. Thankyou everyone for caring about me so much, it make's me feel very special, I am extremely touched by all your comments, thankyou again.
So, I haven't blogged in age's, I loved the show last week, but because I stayed in a hotel that evening, and returned home the next day, I didn't get to see the show on loop, which was a shame. The train's were running very late and it took me a while longer than usual to get home. Once home, I was greeted by the constant noise of the builder's, banging and scraping, it is horrible, it has made working almost completely impossible.
Then the weekend came, it was beautiful to be greeted in the morning by quiet, I watched the qualifying for the Malaysian grand prix, which was fantastic, and then done some job's, also started on a new song, still early day's. Saturday night, we had some gorgeous Indian take away, and watched a film. Sunday, I got up very early to watch the F1 Malaysian race live, it was spectacular, but once it finished, we left to help my Mum move onto her boat. The day was then spent moving her stuff, from my sister's to her boat. Her boat is beautiful, and situated in a lovely area, the sun shone very brightly and I even took my top off for a while, we all had a lovely day, Jed was on top form as usual, Veronique, my neice and her boyfriend John helped as well as brother Shaun and Lisa and me and Rene. We left quite late in the evening, both me and Shaun were worried leaving her, my Mum is very strong, but it just felt horrible. I am still a bit worried really. We got home quite late, and Rene had to be up early for work.
Yesterday, I searched through my Demo's trying to pick 5 track's, which will be made into an EP that will be sold on the Who merchandise counter during the show's I think, it's great news, and this is really my reason for removing the song's from IAC and MYSPACE, although the Myspace still remain's, although with no music there, the music shall return, but not maybe the same song's. Then at 5pm, I removed my headphone's and waited for Indy to arrive for his weekly guitar lesson. He never appeared, so I hope he's alright, I really missed our couple of hour's together.
Today, has been very noisey again, I can't wait until it's finished.
I really glad that everyone enjoyed Bacteria, and Cover you up, that was one of the first song's that I wrote for Rene. Anyway, sorry again for not blogging, hope everyone is doing good, I'll post a picture from Sunday on my Mum's new houseboat, and yes, that is her new home, take care everyone and GMaS.

Hooray! Thanks for letting us know, Mikey.

My parents lived on a barge when they got married. They sailed off on their honeymoon, triumphantly waving goodbye to the well-wishers on the bank... rounded a corner, and the barge broke down!

Yay! Glad to see you back. We just wanted you to feel loved and missed.

I don't know if I could live on a houseboat, although I loved vacationing on one. Besides, it is hard to put the put out for a wee ... I don't think he swims overly well.

Hope the construction is over soon!

Great news Mikey, thanks for sorting that out for us. I think I may have over-reacted, sorry.

I think the tour is going to be great for you and Rachel, so having a new EP ready to go makes sense. I loved the stuff you and Rachel were doing in the studio a month or so ago.

Can EelPie.com add your older EP to their merchandise or put a link to a Paypal page for you so you can sell your music? There are more fans than you know inquiring on buying your music mate.

Stephani and I are fascinated about your Mum living on a barge. I imagine a quiet serene setting, lots of ducks, river sounds.

..there's s song about the barge or the people of the river waiting to be written.

Here's to creativity...

Hey Mikey

Sounds like it's been pretty full on for you. Funnily enough, we had an Indian and a movie on Saturday night and got up early for the GP as well! If you ever fancy watching a race with us we're in leafy Bucks!

Noisy builders are a nightmare aren't they. I work from home too and we're having various things done at the moment - drives you wild!!!!!!!!!!!

Have fun ITA tomorrow night . . . .

You all look very happy, I'm sure you had a lot of fun....

I got up very early to watch the F1 race live too and, I agree, it was fantastic, though I was sooooooooo sleepy......I think I watched the race with just one eye, the other one was closed....and I swear I heard myself snoring, but it was probably one of the cars, he,he...just joking, it was great!!!

Looking forward to ITA tomorrow....thanks very much for being so lovely...:):):)

Dear Mikey

Whew!

I thought maybe some strain of Bacteria had got hold of you...

I am glad that it was just a simple strain of Busy that kept you away...

Your Mum sounds quite intrepid, moving onto a boat like that. I love it!

My Mum & Dad are on a world tour of Fiji, Australia (west & east), then to London for a bit before coming home.

I told them to check the beachfront out at Southend...
If you see them, say HI for me!
LOL

Thanks for sharing the familiy photos with us.

Please give my regards to Rene.

Good to hear from you!
Looking at the picture of your Mom on her barge, made me think, what a marvel life is. So many different ways to live. My Mother once thought it would be wonderful to live in a RV (recreational vehicle). We talked her out of that. I kept thinking, Trailer Park. It made me sad. She never did it. Now, she has two homes, one up north near us, one down south near the warm weather. I think she would have been happier traveling on that camper. Sigh ;(

BTW, my station, Rock Goddess has slipped in the ratings. Down from #16 to # 18. I think it's because there is no Mikey Cuthbert on there..

Hey Mikey

Is that a Billabong touque you're wearing?

I won't be able to watch the show tomorrow because I am going skiing with my 8 year old in the morning - she has race training.

Then I have to work in the afternoon. I'll be thinking of everyone!

Good to see you and your mum sounds/appears (singing!) interesting and, yep, strong. A friend suggests I buy a houseboat near San Francisco. Huh? On the ocean?

I'd trade for a lake.

We all look forward to your new tunes and for your EP. You're generous, really (I think so) with your music being made free on the Web. I have genuinely wondered how you could make this possible, as in for yourself.

I missed the loop, too, as well as the live broadcast. I heard from a reliable source Cover You Up is one to make the heart melt. (I am paraphrasing.) Good news all around, and soon the noise will stop.

Hi again-
I forgot to mention that, being a mom myself, I thought it was so sweet that you and your bro were feeling horrible after leaving your mum. You are good sons to be concerned, I hope my daughter treats me so well when she's a grown up! (She better).
Thanks for sharing the family photo.
Take care,
Sue

Mikey,

I'm glad you are alright. I'm also glad to hear that they've managed to badger you into an EP.
(badger, badger, badger, badger...)

Good luck on ITA, I'll catch it on the loop.
