THE TIME WIND...

Hey everyone, thankyou for all the great shout's here, I really appreciate your positive feed back. I've been busy again, yesterday I recorded 'Bacteria', well the guitar part's and the vocal, I had worked on the drum track all of monday. I really like the track, but I'm a bit nervous again, about playing a song that I haven't played to anyone before. I will be playing 'Bacteria' this evening on IN THE ATTIC, and hope you all like it, it's a bit punky as I said before.
On monday evening, Indy, my nephew had his guitar lesson, which went really well, he is learning very fast indeed, and he get's really excited when he acheives something, it is inspiring to watch him.
I'm really looking forward to the show tonight, I hope that everyone gets a great feed, or catches the loop. I shall have my new song, and many useless fact's, I'm trying to think of another song to play, you could help me, let me know what you would like me to play?
The first F1 race of the season was amazing, the qualifing was exciting and the race was brilliant, I can't wait for next week, that will be Malaysia. Maybe I sound like a bit of a geek, but who cares eh?
So, I wondered what picture to post, and then I remembered this one, I think that I gave it a title, it is called ' The Time Wind ', and again, it is more of a doodle in an old song book, but I have alway's liked this one. Let me know what you think?
The scaffolding is still going up, it is very noisey and has cut out much of the light through the window's, but it look's quite cool, anyway, now I'm just rambling, hope everyone is doing good, hope you all enjoy the show tonight, thankyou to everyone who have said that they would promote me in there local area, you are star's.
Just a few more thing's, please, please, please go and put your name down on my fan map, there is a link on this blog, I check it daily, as well as my Myspace, thankyou everyone there. Also, great news, my songs on IAC are doing great, 'Plasticine' is up to 5 on the Alternative chart, and 'Feel my heat' and 'Tourist' are not far behind. Thankyou for playing these song's, please continue playing them.
Anyway, I think I've got it all, take care all, and of course, GMaS.

Mikey my doodles look just like this! Does that mean I may have a smidge of artistic talent?
I am so glad your music is climbing the IAC charts. Maybe IAC stands for "I am cool." (Applicable to both musicians AND artists!
I'm sure you are nervous about performing Bacteria...but you know we'll love it!
I will never tire of Tourist, so could you play that please?
Thanks!
Take care and have fun In the Attic!

Sorry I've been MIA on here for a while - life has gotten in the way with blogging. Nothing serious, just a lot of work and trying to spend more time with fitness and more time with my family.

ANYWAYS, I'm not working today so I hope to catch you live in ITA! Very looking forward to hearing Bacteria!

I owe you at least a few shouts. Can't wait to hear your new song on ITA today. I would also love to hear Matches again.
It's great that your songs are doing so well on IAC.
Very interesting doodle. I like the title you gave it. Fits

Hi Mikey,

An amazing thing happened today...
A friend of mine, very close to my heart, watched the podcast of the first ITA, on my ipod. He has never watched the actual show, I think he still has dial-up.

While you were singing your fabulous song my friend's jaw dropped and he said "Now, THIS is music!!!" Of course I talked and talked about how talented and wonderful you are and showed off when I said I've met you!
He then watched the rest of the podcast in awe and he THANKED ME for that!

I now THANK YOU, for creating a magic moment with your music! This was very important for me, it made my day!

I'll see you tonight at the show... can't wait!!!!

HI Mikey!
This drawing reminds me of Spirograph. That was a drawing toy they had back when I was a kid. But I know yours is freehand. It is very good!

I will be looking forward to hearing Bacteria tonight.

Glad all is well.
I play your songs on IAC everyday!

SEASICKNESS WARNING! Mikey, if you get seasick and eat it won't stop you being sick, it will only mean you have more to bring up for longer. BUT if you eat a lot of gingerbread men (I suppose the plural is a 'family') it WILL help you NOT feel seasick. There's something in the ginger which prevents nausea.

Hey Mikey!

Good job on 'bacteria'.

Laughed alot when you, Pete ("Dr. Stratocrasher") and Simon went at it in the end.

Gotta love ITA. I wonder if a network would pick it up as a TV show?? Great way to introduce new artists.

Mikey,

Caugh ITA this week, nicely done! Thanks for more tidbits of information, great fun! Bacteria is cute, the line "some people find you hard to swallow, but you digest" I think it was, actually made me laugh aloud. Brilliantly put! *grin*

Hey Mikey-Man! I've missed you and Rene so much! I've been meaning to come by for a long time, I dunno if you heard what's been going on with me, health stuff but nothing serious in a life threatening way. Been laying me up for awhile though.. but just lately doing a little better.
Mikey, the new batch of songs is fantastic! And it's weird, I think your voice has been sounding more powerful, you been practicing a lot, I know; sounds like you've strengthened your voice, hard to describe. But noticeable!Amazing.
"We will fix it" was moving, I swear I could see that being a soundtrack song for a movie where they have powerful war imagery.
I should read up around here before I comment too much, though.
It's so nice to see you. I need ot check out all this my space and fanmap stuff. I haven't checked out anyone's
myspaces or fanmaps, I'm so out of the loop lol. It's so good to see you. :)

Hi Mikey - Seychelle's station rocks! What is going on with your IAC page mate?

I just posted a new song and was wondering if you would like to listen. It is called "Walkin On The Grid" and it is written about Pete's bloggers and Pete's online Novella.

Hope you like it. It's kind of poppy, but I actually play a little piano on it.. he he

Sounds like I need to check IAC (are you down?). I have a station, but I need really to spend more time loading songs before I do some grand PR on it. I have several of your songs loaded, tho.

I was too busy and otherwise was out of the loop last Wednesday to have seen ITA. My day resembled your drawing to the circle. And today , Sunday, I am feeling under the weather. I napped forever and woke hearing "Pretty Heart". Unreal. The song, the lyrics, in some ways I 'spose reminds me of a fever dream. And then I can related two fold to every word.

Thanks for being the real you as much as can be. I'm pleased over your success and the over the coming plans for you to tour with Simon. Many good things are on the horizon. For now, what's with your page on IAC?

Are you ok?
I've been meaning to tell you that the best part of last week's show was the final song. I've been singing it ever since! It sounds like something from the "O Brother Where Art thou" soundtrack.
I loved Pete's interpretation too! It does sound like a spiritual.
Please let us know how you are doing.
Take care and hang in there,

Hi Mikey
For what it's worth, today's St Cuthbert Day (he died 20 March, 687, they claim - who will tell after so much time).
A good opportunity to write to you.
Our friends here sound worried about you. I sincerely hope that's false alarm!
Do you enjoy the narrow boat? I read about that on Rene's blog. Does your mother live on the NB full-time?
I find that interesting, as i live on a barge in Rotterdam. Much of my blog is about barges in Holland and Belgium - and about Pete's Dutch barge.
Might be interesting for your mum: http://koosfernhout.blogspot.com

Hi Mikey,

I've been dancing in my own chaos the past week, so, sorry this comment is late.

Just wanted to add that I, too, am worried about you. I'll try not to assume anything until you let us know.

Your fans care about you a great deal and want the best for you. There's been some weirdness and negativity going around. I hope none of it has touched you.

Much Love,

Hi Mikey dear, I wasn't worrying about you 'til I read the other posts. I bet you're just really busy.
Thanks again for the shout-out two weeks ago on ITA. I'm still healing. The doctor gave me heavy-duty pain meds. and anti-spasm meds. which I can only take sparingly, else I am a zombie (happy, contented little zombie, but zombie nonetheless).

Today I'm heading to Oregon for a week. Hope to catch ITA from there, if you're doing a show tomorrow.

Love,
Brina
