PALM SPRINGS...

Las Vegas was great, I got to meet some great people, including Martin, the drummer from The Pretenders, he is a lovely fella. We drove through the night and arrived in Palm Springs this morning, I've been working on some new music today on the bus and will keep you all informed.
Still missing my Rene everyday, it just doesn't get any easier, but as the days go by, I realise that I'll be home sooner and sooner. It's really great meeting all you bloggers and fans, thankyou for all the great shouts I'm getting on this blog, they are truly appreciated. It was also a great honour to have been praised by Pete, it was a truly awesome gig at the Hotel Cafe, with everyone performing brilliantly, I am a very lucky man.
Hopefully Rene will be updating my Indonesian blog, that's if she has time, but she is a very busy girl, as well as brilliant and beautiful.
Hoping everyone is great, thankyou so much, take care all and please do GMaS...
Hope to blog again soon.

HI MIKEY,

I just commented, and it was quite lovely, but I lost it!!!

Anyway, in short, I bet you've got a load of new material because of missing your Rene. So I suggest, your next EP, should be "Songs for my Rene" or "Missing Rene"...or "Songs in the key of Rene"...ok, so Stevie Wonder did something like the last one....

I am really hoping you and Simon will be at Joe's....I didn't think anything could top the last show there, except if you and Simon were there....so, I am looking forward to more magical musical moments, brought to me, by my favorite ATTIC GANG!!!

Love you guys.....

You keep your chin up, you'll be home soon!!

Hi Mikey,

It was great to meet you in person tonight in Palm Springs during the Rose Hill Drive set! I wanted to say hello at Hotel Cafe but you were swarmed, so I'm glad I had a chance to catch you tonight. Your set at Hotel Cafe was fantastic. What a treat to hear "Plasticine" live! And the Attic gang performance of "Misery" was very special.

I know you're missing Rene, but do try to enjoy the "amazing journey" you are on right now, criss-crossing the United States.

Again, a pleasure to have the chance to shake hands.

All the best,
Chris Capp

Hello Mikey,

Oh, how I wish I could follow all of you around and be in all the gigs... I am hoping you'll do a gig in London when you come back.
Or maybe I'll kidnap Rene and come there and you'll see both of us in front of you! LOL, if only I could...Unfortunately, due to crazy work situation I'm stuck here, just listening to your songs on my iPod and reminiscing the good old days.

I really miss the Attic every Wednesday, hope you do one soon.

Have lots of fun and always be creative!

Hi Mikey,

I wonder, with the creative mind as yours, is your heart aching for Rene inspiring any music?

Hi Mikey!
Hang in there.
I made up a saying that's inspired by "absence makes the heart grow fonder."
I can't write it here, but you can probably guess what I mean...
or maybe not! LOL.
In rated G terms, just think how amazingly awesome it will be when you are reuinited again!
Amen.
Loving your cd (still).
Promise to order some for Christmas prezzies.
Lots of love,

Hey Mikey! Great to hear from you and glad your trip continues to be lots of fun (minus missing your wonderful Rene). New music...yeah! You must have lots of ideas and inspiration during your travels…can’t wait to hear them. We've been inspired by all this musical excitement lately and have been working on some new music as well. Same for our fellow blogger Gary, who has been fired up with new ideas! The itch seems to spread rapidly. We should all collaborate on a song that highlights the awesome times we’ve experienced and incredible people we’ve met during this tour. We can call it “Faces for Real.”

Want to let you know that your music kept us company today while we were stuck in a hallway painting for a few hours. Definitely made the chore a lot more fun that it otherwise would’ve been :)

Thanks for blogging, and enjoy the trip!
Talk soon,
L&R

Hi Mikey,
Glad you're having a great time at all these shows!
Pete was absolutely right about your performance, I can vouch for that since I was there! I wish I went to the show in Palm Springs, but I do hope you and the ITA comrades do come back to California again!

I think that you missing Rene could be some inspirational for some new songs, she is one lucky woman to have you!

Take care.

It was great meeting you, too, Mikey!! I mean, such a real treat, but also like talking to an old friend in many ways. You are one of the nicest people I have ever met.

Big shout to you today, and to Rene, too! And thank you again for your cd. It has been on heavy rotation around here. I can't wait to see your music career build.

*hug to you*

ps: Pleease please please tell the gang to come back to my area! Don't make me start traveling in my condition, now. :-)

Hi Mikey! Hey, I wasn't kidding when I said that missing Rene was adding to your performance. Pete himself agreed with me!
:)
Can't help but say "I told you so" in this case. :)
I just got a ticket for the San Diego show, it's my birthday tomorrow and I used that as my excuse. How could I not go? I don't even have to drive a great distance.
And Mikey, I'm still trying to wrap my mind around how huge America is. And I
was born and raised here! You are so right about how huge it is.:)
Take care of yourself.

Oi, oi, Mikey! I'm a few weeks late, but I wanted to tell you HOW FUCKING AMAZING HOTEL CAFE WAS!!!

You were in absolute top form! Simon, Rachel, Pete, Billy, E, Minnie...all of you were amazing.

I missed you and Simon at Joe's Pub in September, but you both sure made up for it at Hotel Cafe!

Despite having stood right next to you for most of the night, I'm sorry for not giving you at least a quick "hello". I think I was just taken back by how great that evening was...I was too shy to approach anyone afterwards!

Anyway, you are welcome to come back to LA ANYTIME!

Cheers!
