CHECKING IN...

Got back from America last week, but I've been completely exhausted, and have had trouble sleeping since returning. I've felt more sorry for Rene having to return to her nine to five, even though she has been as tired as me. Anyway, enough of the excuses, I appologize for my slack blogging, but thank's for your patience and great shout's.
Since returning from the US, I have been mostly sleeping, working on music and catching up with my family, but also going over my time spent in America, so much to take in, I can't wait to see more.
Well, this is only a short blog, soon I'll post in detail about my journey to America, but this is just a head's up, thankyou for all the great shout's on my blog, and to say that I really enjoyed my time in the US. Thanks to Rachel and Pete for arranging my journey and making it possible for Rene to join me, it was great to be with the gang again.
Hope everyone is doing good, and enjoying the ITA's, take care and be happy all, I shall return to update the blog very soon I promise, thanks all. GMaS

Mikey,
You and Rene are cool folks! I spoke to you briefly at the Chi HOB. I'm glad you enjoyed the U.S! I'm still waiting for your EP from Eel Pie. I should have it this week! Your music, through the ITA performances has really been growing on me. You have a real heart felt, honest approach to your lyrics. You're a real cool dude!.... Back to the Chi HOB show. I really respected you for speaking out to the crowd of people at the show that were talking through Rachel's performance. If I had a microphone I would have done the same. She deserved better and you stood up for her. Kudos!

Hope to see you down the road!

Neil

Hey Mikey, I love the new song on your IAC page "My Brother Shaun", I put it on the Attic Radio, and I am adding it to my Guitar & Pen" station, hopefully this one can be added to a lot more stations. Great job on this one, very inspirational performance.

Now.. about that La La La song, please record that one, it is a wonderful one too.

Dear Mikey, Reading your blog, it sounds as if you don't expect to be in America for another leg, or partial leg? If so, I am completely bereft, because meeting you when Rachel and Pete and Simon and the Who come to Minneapolis was one of my happiest plans for this year.

But unselfishly I will say that I'm glad you have done part of U.S., and I understand why you are tired. Rest up, and take it easy, and soon you will have your balance back.

Please go to my blog. I put up a pretty amazing photo I took on my birthday in Seaside (near Monterey), California. It's taken at bird-level. I think you'll love it, with your nature eye. Please do!

Love to you and dear Rene, Brina

Hi Mikey,
I know how you both feel. I thought I was going to die when I came home from the UK this summer. I found great relief in taking Melatonin in a liquid formas it acts quicker to the bloodstream. I think I mentioned it here months back and also at Rachel's. In the US we can pick it up at a health food store - hopefully you can find some where you are. It will help you get some sleep and its all natural. Rene will feel better at work as well. I was down in bed for days, when a migraine came (which I never get) I took it and was back amongst the living once again.

I am enjoying the CD.. and thought your performance at HOB in Chicago was the best I've seen yet! Best to ya.

I relate to you and Alecia, when I got back recently after almost 2 weeks in Asia, I was exhausted! I slept for a week straight! And then I never did take all the pics or write out all that I meant to. I see now why you kept a journal in Indonesia, I should have done the same thing!
Anyway, hope you feel more rested, talk to ya later! xoxoLisa

Hey Mikey!
Am so missing you and the rest of the gang! Had such a fun time while you guys were over here. Hope to see you again on the 2nd leg. (Am keeping my fingers crossed for another NYC Attic Jam)

Totally understand that neverending feeling of jetlag...took me quite a few days to adjust when I came back from my UK trip this summer. Must give Rene props...don't know how she's been able to jump back into the 9-5 day.

Anyway, hope you're doing well. Looking forward to hearing more of your stuff. Stop by my blog sometime if you can and say hello. :)

Mikey,
I hope you liked America a lot. I can see how it was very exhausting! I'm really glad Rene got the chance to come too.
I am really anxious to hear some of your new music and lyrics. I've kind of gone through a writer's block the past couple weeks = (. I need to start up again.
Talk to you soon!
