Back from Europe...
I'm back from Europe, and I've had a week off. I checked by blog when I could, but lost my connection a bit with blogland. So this blog, is just a head's up, I'm doing good, had a great birthday, and an amazing European tour with the WHO, I've got so much stuff to blog about, and some great pictures.
I really appreciate all the shout's and well wishes, and sometime's I need a kick up the arse, thank's Mark, I love reading the comment's.
Well, as I said, this was just a hello, and thank's to you lot, I will blog again soon, and try and portrait my time on the tour. IN THE ATTIC was amazing, so many show's, and so much travelling, the crew were brilliant, everyone that make's it possible. Rachel was consistently excellent, as were Pete and Si, and we had the most outstanding guest's, it was slightly like a dream...
Anyway's, thank's everyone, I'll blog soon I promiss, take care all, and, I haven't done this in a while....GIVE ME a SHOUT... That felt good.

Me again. I just wanted to tell you something I thought would make you smile...
I was sitting here working & had your MySpace site up in the background so'z I could listen to "We Will Fix It." My husband comes in to grab something and casually remarks, smiling, "That sounds like the Attic crew....like Mikey..."
When you guys started ITA, I would often pull him over to watch with me. I guess this is one of the reasons I like "White Stripes" so much. I remember what a lovely day it was when you first played that video on the show. My husband watched it with sincere attention and I could tell he was truly enjoying your song. He really dug it.
Anyway, it made me happy to hear him recognize your music in an instant. I hope you and Rachel realize that your warmth and honesty made us, the viewers, feel like part of what you were doing. Even if we never met you, we'd feel like friends in a way. And your music became a soundtrack for our home, woven into our common memories. I'm not sure anything is more valuable than that...than the sharing of such experiences.
Thanks again for your songs and for starting something so cool with Rachel. It's almost bittersweet or perhaps intimidating to watch the show go on a world tour with so many new fans springing up, perhaps expecting different things from it than the original small band of blogger fans. But no matter what, I'm truly happy for your success.
Much Love,
-Natalie

Hi Mikey, nice one. Welcome back to Blogland and as you can see we are all here waiting for you. Have a nice rest with Rene, as the U.S. will be tiring. I'm hoping to get tickets for the Joes Pub gig in New York and then we are coming to the Hollywood Bowl in November with Gary and Steph. Mark

Mikey,
It must feel good to be home. I hope you enjoyed your Birthday, and I send you warm wishes for all your dreams to come true.
I miss seeing you all, and I have to agree with Natalie, on the point about ITA, turning into something different, or "bigger" then what it was to our smaller group. But, that is the price we pay; we have to share you all with the masses, in order for you to be able to keep the show going.
I am so happy for you, and I hope that I will be able to get tickets to Joe's Pub. I really want to be there. It has been my dream to see the ITA bunch perform, LIVE. Tho, I do love The Who, and am over the moon to see them, you all have a special place in my heart....so cross your fingers for me ;)
Be well and keep us posted.
HERE IS YOUR SHOUT!

Dear Mikey,
Here's a shout out to you!
Thanks for all the great In the Attics you put out there for us.
My son is driving now...in fact, he just got sort of lost for the first time, driving alone not all that far from home. It made me so nervous. Eeeek!
Hugs to you and Rene. Love, Brina
P.S. Mikey, While I was writing that, about A.J. being lost, I had "Without Your Love" playing...."without your love, I am lost..." wow!
Hi Mikey, it's been fun getting to "know" you through ITA and your songs. You seem like a sweetheart. Hope to see you soon in the States.
Shout out, Mikey. I love that photo; I have a "thing" for sunflowers. I might have to use it as my wallpaper if you don't mind?
Happy Belated b-day.

Hi Mikey,
Glad to see you've made it home safely and will now enjoy some holidays before tackling the other side of the pond.
It was lovely meeting you in Berlin and I look forward to seeing you in Toronto in December. I will do some serious hamburger research before then and find you the best ones. Failing that, we do have all-night Chinatown restaurants. Don't forget your parka- it won't be like Europe once the winter hits. ;)
Belated happy birthday!
Cheers,
Anne-Marie
