Sunday Lunch.

Sunday lunch with Rene's folk's was great, then the evening spent with my family was great as well. Monday morning was a welcome suprise, as because of the horrible weather, the builder's didn't show up for work, which meant an extra day of peace, and a chance to work on my new song. At 5pm, Indy turned up for his guitar lesson, he had been ill with the flu last week, but because of this, he hadn't practiced at all, but we had a great lesson, and by the end of the lesson, he was making huge leap's in his ability.
Building has begun again today, but it's not so bad. I'm really looking forward to the show tomorrow, I'm hoping to see the animation thingy, also I'm really sorry to Mark T, who I completely forgot to mention your birthday, even after forgeting the previous week, sorry mate. Thankyou everyone for the shout's, let me know if you want a shout on the show, and what song's would you particularly like me to play this week, if indeed there are any of my song's you would like to hear, I think I'm becoming far too humble here, let me know what I should play, I could also use some useless fact's, couldn't we all.
I've posted up a picture of mine, taken from an old sketch book, the drawing was inspired by a dream I had, well it was actually a nightmare really, I was being chased by some demon thingy, and running so fast that I was smashing through dimension's in time, and the skin was being burnt off my face as I ran faster and faster. Weird dream huh? Anywho, I like the image, tell me what you think? I hope everyone's doing good, take care all, and of course, GMaS.

Mikey,

Very cubist-surrealist, I like it. Almost makes me think of Nude Descending the Staircase, but more simplified. I really like this one.

Hope all is well, best wishes,

Jack

Hi Mikey, no need to apologise, but nice of you. I can imagine with so much going on when you are live, it's easy to forget and when you finish the show you are remembering what you have forgotten. If that makes sense. Two songs I have been playing in the car recently are Come On Ryan and Feel The Heat. Although all the songs on the EP get a play I've been listening to those two the most. Like the picture a lot, jsut wish that I could draw. Have a great show and most of all have fun. Mark

Hi Mikey!!!

You are fantastic!!! I wish I could draw my dreams or nighmares....I really love this one...There is a demon face on the red part, right??....You can tell that you were suffering...
I once had a nighmare in which I could reach the speed of light, and I felt so heavy that when I woke up I couldn't move a muscle for some seconds....it's all in your mind.

Indy is going to be a great guitarrist!!! Perhaps, he can perform a song in ITA someday, if he wants to...

You've got so many beautiful songs!!! I would choose for tomorrow's show "Cover you up", "We will fix it", "Feel the Heat" and "Tourist" if you have time...:):):)

Love,

Elena

My vote is for your song about why you explain things.
Here is a repost from last week but still a good fact
Hears a usefull fact about HONEY. To get the maximum medicinal potential, get local honey, preferably within a 45 miles radius from your home. That is about the ideal pollenation circumfrence for maximium benefit. The honey then carries the natural immunities, natural anti-biotics and remedies for the most common ailments to your area.
The honey closest to home is best.
Isnt nature brilliant.

Did you know that at Disneyland they have hundreds of wild domesticated cats running around the park? They never come out during the day because there's too many people, but the reason they're there is to catch the mice.

Women blink twice as much as men.

Dogs have over 100 facial expressions, most of them involve their ears.

I would love to hear Pretty Heart.

Give Claire a big hug for us! Hope she gets to play something. Watchtower would be great!

See you tomorrow, and have a great show.;0)

Beautiful picture. My friend Tom, who is an artist, draws in a similar style as you. I like these types of pictures especialy. I remember I used to have nightmares of me running away from some hellish looking bear. Strange stuff indeed. I am a bit jelous of Indy, he is lucky to be getting lessons from you. I don't have any suggestions for what songs to play on the show, I will be pleased with whatever you play. I have a useless fact for you as well. The average person has over 1,460 dreams a year. Dear Mikey

Great sketch!
You do have a very good knowledge of the human physical anatomy.
You're looking a wee bit terrified in the piece, needless to say!

I have missed you.
It's been so busy here, that I have had to limit my blogging, or I'd never get anything done!

Hope I get to see some of ITA tomorrow on lunch break at work.
Would you please sing Plasticine for me?

Thanks & have a great time under the roof!

Love
Dale

Well we're all chased by demons at some point in our lives! Just keep a runnin'!!
I really like this one, and it is so cool how we (you?) can materialize our subconscious through art.
Can't wait for ITA. You have a song called "Torture" right? I think it's you and not Simon- we haven't heard that for awhile, so that might be a good one!
Take care and have a "really great shoo" as Ed Sullivan used to say!
Peace,
Sue

Mikey dear, I love "Feel My Heat" for this week, and please give that fabulous visiting girl Claire hugs and love from her blogging friends. SO happy she'll be there with you! Claire on In the Attic is proof that good things happen to good people.

Your art never ceases to amaze me.

Love, Brina

Feel my Heat has been running through my head as well.

Useless fact that I learned while looking for US trivia to study for my citizenship exam: William Taft was the heaviest US president at over 300 lbs. After he got stuck in his bathtub, they replaced it with one big enough for 4 average men.

I'm hoping to catch the show live today - I don't know as I can catch the loop as I don't know what my husband has planned for my birthday dinner. (big 3-0)

Hey Mikey!

Do you know a song called Please Be With Me - Eric Clapton recorded it on 461 Ocean Boulevard. You'd sound great singing that.

Have a good show

Just listening to you perform Torture right now - I have to say this is one of the best performances (initial flub excluded) that I think I have heard you do. You were spot on!

Will have it all straightened out by next week. FAN MAP is posted on my blog for you! Watch the droves lol!

Hi Mikey,

I only got to see a little of the show yesterday. :-( Between illness and family emergencies, my life's a bit upside down lately.

This drawing of yours is interesting because you look powerful in it even though you're in a nightmare and losing your layers. Maybe it means you see yourself as having have a strong core, even in the face of adversity? I think about songs like "Come On Ryan," and "Cover You Up" it seems so. You are a tough person, and a source of comfort and strength for those around you, it would seem.

Thank you for keeping the pictures & songs coming. "I will shine bright for you...." and you do!

Much Love,
-Natalie

She's a lazy Blogger in the nicest possible way. Mark

Hey Mikey! You were great on the show as always...but even more importantly...Good GOD man, you are a monster of an artist. Fantastic stuff, really. Have you been drawing since you were just a little Mikey? It's amazing.

Looking forward to your new songs. Hopefully your stuff will be back on myspace soon?

Excuse me here Mikey for some self-applause, but before I got to your details on the painting, I had sensed the drawing had been inspired by a dream/nightmare. Clearly, running is always a dream. I dunno. I rarely run!

I really like the drawing of course. By now, we're into April, more building has gone on around you and you are closer to the end. I'll be missing Wednesday's show yet again. Weird. Just the day and time. Hump day.

my best to you and yours!
