A COLD HOUSE...

I really enjoyed last week's show, it's alway's good to meet fellow artist's, and blogging legend's. This week's show will be on Tuesday, I presume at the normal time. You must let me know what you would like me to play. I'm also going to post some more t-shirt idea's, it's harder than I thought, but with all feed back I've been receiving, it's been made easier.
When I returned home last week from the show, I was shocked to walk into a cold house, the boiler had packed up, and it was freezing. Although very romantic, because of all the candles alight trying to raise the temperature. It turned our weekend into an exercise in keeping warm.
My father is a heating engineer, but has just left on holiday for two week's, isn't it alway's the way, but having some of my father's jean's, I gave it ago. After a few attempt's, over a couple of day's, the boiler was fixed, by my own gracious hand, and Rene was over the moon, me too actually.
So once again, please let me know if you want a particicular song played, or if you want a shout out live on the show, or if you have any useless fact's that I could use. I hope your all doing well and staying fit, let me know what you think of the t-shirt idea, take care, enjoy the show and GMaS.

Good morning Mikey, thanks for posting new songs to your IAC page and MySpace. I have put them onto Attic Radio's listing, nice work, I like both songs, especially Matches. Will these be on your new EP?

Hey Mikey! I love all of those pictures...I think my favorites are both the blue and red (things) on black...and I also like the upper right black scribbley on red. Makes me think of a broken down pier or boardwalk or something.

Our heater broke a few weeks ago as well, I feel your pain with that! Glad you got it fixed. I bet you are quite the handyman! :o)

You could give me a shout-out on Tuesday, that would be fun! :o) And I would really love to hear you play "Misery needs a friend" again at some point. Love that song.

Hope you're having a good day!

Beautiful t-shirt ideas! I love them all! I don't have any school this week so I will be able to catch ITA live since the episode with pj's. I have a useless fact: A gozzard is a person who owns geese. Let's face it, how many people do you know own geese? It is completely useless. Can't wait for the show. GMAS!

Hi Mikey!

I dig the blue heart.

And my song request is "White Stripes"! I have such a yearning to sing that song myself. The chorus is beautiful.

:-)

Much Love,

Hi Mikey, I think the T shirt idea is great and about three different designs for fans to choose from. A useless fact is at two minutes and three seconds past one on the fourth of May 2006 it will be 01-02-03 04/05/06 this will never be repeated until the year 3006. Any song will be great for tomorrows show. I like all of them. Mark

Hi Mikey,

You are the boiler man! WOW!

Geez, do you have any songs about being dumped? My long-distance boyfriend broke up with me this weekend, in an e-mail. I suppose there are lots of Mikey songs that would be suitable! But I'm mostly in the mood to hear you sing "Tourist," I love when you do that one.

I'm a romantic at heart, and I love to hear you sing love songs for Rene.

Have a great time. I'll be tuned in.

Love, Brina
(keeping my chin up, he was a dope to treat me that way!)

Hi Mikey,

I love the blue heart, really like it...but, I don't know why, I prefer the first one on your previous post.....

Poor you and Rene, I'm glad that it's fixed now.."Mikey will fix it" "Mikey will fix it"......It's incredible to see how the mind works to find a solution to keep warm..........I once spent a whole week without hot water and I remember that to have a shower was a kind of torture....

I would like you to play "Tourist" or "Cover you Up" if it's possible....pleaseeee!!

Thanks a lot,

Elena

Mikey:

I am always full of useless facts, but I will instead first of all offer a comment made by my daughter, Rachel, a few years ago when she was NOT sixteen, as she is now:

Rachel:
"Dad, I want to be a whale trainer when I grow up."

Dan L.:
"Why is that, Rachel?. Why whales?"

Rachel:
"Dad, there are just SO MANY whales to be trained!"

Ok, now a useless fact:
Our feet are in a different time zone then our head is. How is this so? A number of years ago, a study was conducted to determine if the theory of gravity affecting time was valid. A large tower was constructed with a clock on the top, a clock on the bottom. If gravity was to affect time, then the clock on the bottom should run slower than the one on top (because the higher clock is farther from the gravity source...Earth). It was determined that the theory is correct...the clocks were determined to function just as predicted, but it took an extremely accurate system of measurement to determine a difference so incredibly minute, but oh, so real. Therefore, Mikey, as the experiment demonstrated the theory to be correct, we can apply it to my opening statement...if time moves more slowly as it is more affected by gravity, then your head is actually in a slightly different space of time then your feet!

Mikey, there is more that can be derived and illuminated from more elaboration on this subject, but I tried to keep it simple.

If you wish, I can go on. I once expounded on this subject while on Pete's Blog, and it must have seemed like Coo-Coo talk from a Coo-Coo bird.

You may notice our invite to The Attic on Rachel's Blog. It would likely involve you, so think on it as well, won't you? You can be our ally! I always say, "If you don't ask for a yes, the answer is almost always no, because you never tried". We are trying.

Lastly,
You are welcome to shout out to us in the garage of "Sunrise Studios", the actual garage without a studio, where we make nothing but noise, and love it just the same. It's all on my blog, and in the archives too. You may otherwise shout out to Rachel (our daughter) who wants to purchase Rachel Fuller stuff. I, for myself, also enjoy your musical style...from the heart, your heart.

Peace,

--Dan L.

Mikey,

The heart design now reminds me of the logo for Never the Bride. Hmm.

A friend of mine wore a t-shirt the other night with a dragon-monster-like face (similar to your creature with the limb), The design spread to the shoulders. Oddly, I thought a lot about your designs!

My question I suppose is whether t-shirts will include authentic language? Spanish for the concerts in Barcelona (I am going!!!) and in Madrid, for instance?

You know I like Plastecine (sp).

See you manana!

Thank you, Mikey. I can't believe you made the effort to talk about my being dumped. It was some kind of sweet. You, Rachel, and Pete helped me, well, Layla too with her amazing beautiful songs, and now Simon is making me cry with his song.

Love you guys. Hugs, Brina

P.S. It's pronounced Breeeeeena, short for Sabrina.

Mikey,

Love the designs! You need a pigeon design, though, don't you? To promote your song... subliminal messages and all.

Actually got to see ITA today, Tuesdays are better days for me than Wednesdays. Nice playing once again! Could you do me a favour, next time Simon is on ITA? Can you steal that #$%^ing hat, and tell him you did that from me? *grin*

He knows how I feel about the hat.

I really think the picture of you on the EEL Pie site (under the Boardwalk?) is a good picture if you put your name on the left breast and the picture on the back it would sell. Dont get it too confusing. Who fans are like black and white nothing fancy. Remember they are older now. I really think a baseball hat would be good too with your name or "Plasticine" embroidered on it......michael :)

Hi Mikey,
And it is always a blast to meet Art/guitar legends too!
I think I passed your art school just off of the high street when I visited Southend on Sunday. Sorry that I did not get your contact info in time to have a visit with you in Rene but will do in the future. Southend is a very sweet and mysterious place and folks are kind..you must have had fun tearing up the Victoria Mall back in the day-I know I would have! Your art and Rachel's music has a new meaning to me now.
All your t-shirt ideas are great. i'm really looking forward to a major retrospective exhibit ;)
Cheers and fresh donoughts (.60p each 6 for 1.80,

...sorry way too many typos in that!

Hi Mikey,

Great show yesterday, it was great to see Rene as well with you playing Tourist! As far as the tees as a Graphic Designer I lean towards the pig - if you want to be controversial and probably sell a few of em you could add the word Tourist under it! Or find an image that would work well for Feel my Heat to be less offensive - but still clever.

I got his in an email today - thought you may want to add it to your mind as one of your more USEFUL facts...
Cheers!

Subject:
Two-way mirrors. . .

I thought this was quite interesting! And I know in about thirty seconds, you're going to do what I did, and find the nearest mirror. Often heard about the two-way mirror but could never tell, so I thought you might be interested.

Do you know how to determine if a mirror is two-way or not? This is not to scare you, but to make you aware. A policewoman, who travels all over the U. S. and gives seminars and techniques for businesswomen, passed this on.

When we visit toilets, bathrooms, hotel rooms, changing rooms, etc., how many of you know for sure that the seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on the wall is a real mirror, or actually a two-way mirror (i.e., they can see you, but you can't see them)?

There have been many cases of people installing two-way mirrors in female changing rooms. It is very difficult to positively identify the surface by just looking at it.

So, how do we determine with any amount of certainty what type of mirror we are looking at? Just conduct this simple test: Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface and if there is a GAP between your fingernail and the image of the nail, then it is a GENUINE mirror; however, if your fingernail DIRECTLY TOUCHES the image of your nail, then BEWARE, FOR IT IS A TWO-WAY MIRROR!

"No Space, Leave the Place."
