Cool Show...

What a cool show last night, firstly Layla was amazing, and very sweet as well. I had a brilliant time, made even better by Rene's appearance. After the show, we all went and got a burger, well actually, I got a chilli dog, which I loved. Then Rene drove us home, and I even got to see the loop, hurray.
Great news, I've got some home recorded demo's up on IAC, I've put up 'We Will Fix It' and 'Matches', I really hope everyone enjoy's them, they are quite basically recorded, but I think they sound ok. So please go and give them a listen, and tell me what you think?
Even more great news, Rene and I are going on holiday tonight for about 5 day's, we are going to Spain, I'm looking forward to good food, good weather and peace and quiet.
Thank's for all the great shout's here on my blog, I really appretiate all the great feed back you have given me, I hope you all have a great week, stay well and happy, take care and GMaS.

Wow....I had no idea how drums would sound on "We Will Fix It." But you made it work.

It's.....FUNKY, Mikey! I dig it!

It sounds a little too fast to me, but that's because I'm used to the tempo you used on ITA. I will listen s'more & see how my ears adjust.

Have fun in Spain. I have never been. Please take pictures for us!

Much Love,
-Natalie

Hi Mikey,

The new songs are brilliant!! I have to agree with Natalie about the drums on the songs. It gives them a finished sound. "Matches" is especially good.

Thanks for a great show yesterday. Everyone was so funny, I had tears in my eyes from laughing too much. It made Tuesday Afternoon not a forever afternoon.

I hope you bring Layla back for more. She is a fabulous singer and guitar player.

I hope you and Rene have a great time in Spain. Take lots of pictures!!

I really love the production on both of these new songs Mikey. I have to know, what is the tapping in Matches, it's the little bing bang sound, I have to know how you did that. I love it.

I also thought Layla was remarkable and I loved your reaction, even on the webcam we could see the look of amazement when she finished her first song. A collaboration perhaps? What a talented bunch you all are.

Have a great time in Spain Mikey & Rene.

Very pretty picture, Mikey! Hope you and Rene have a fun time in Spain! Seems like everyone's going on vacation these days. I can't wait for mine. Come late June I'll be visiting Ireland, Scotland, and England and I am super excited about it!

You were great on ITA. Yesterday's show was a lot of fun. I can't believe there's only 3 episodes left. :o(

Hope you have a great Easter! ♥

Thank you for your "shout out" to us, my Rachel and I. She blushed all over the room.

...and for our garage studio shout, and for the useless fact about time and gravity.

Great music, Mikey. Great stuff.

Peace,

Mikey,
I have to let you know, how exicting it is to hear your songs in their final production, after hearing them in their "infancy". I feel so priviledged, really lucky, you can't know how special it is to your fans!
Every song is amazing, they reach in to the listener's soul, and there they stay!

Will you be selling the ep on the internet first?

Love the demos you put up on IAC Mikey. Great job! We Will Fix It is one of my favorites of yours!

Wow, Spain sounds like a blast. Tom and I had a nice little getaway to the ocean last weekend. I actually put some pictures from it up on my blog. I haven't posted for almost 2 months! I have really got to blog more often.

Have a great time, and I'll see you next week on ITA!

Mikey, hello!

Yes, I agree, the show was fantastic and Layla is very very talented!
What a sweet moment when you and Rachel played Clever Girl...

Rachel thinks I live in Spain, LOL! When you see her please remind her I live in London, hahahaha... I've sent her and Tracie an email explaining everything, but my heart almost stopped...

Well, my trip to Southend is all arranged! Bought the tickets to the show and booked my hotel... Hurrah! I'm so happy! I'm very glad that I'll see you again. Mark and Jill are coming too, so come and say hi!

Have a fantastic Easter and a lovely holiday! Kisses to Rene ♥ ♥

My claim to Spain is that my former husband is from there (became a citizen only after I married him) and I really love that country! We are still friend and talk and I mentioned you were headed there (small talk lol) He said if you can get to Malaga, this is where his Fathers side is. I personally have never made it to that city but I am so excited for you as the South is so beautifil!! I hope you have the very best time and get some R&R. Can't wait to see the pics!

The show was really fantastic and I was blown away by Layla as well. I think the suggestion from above to collaborate with her would be brilliant!

Not sure which CD Justin is speaking of, but the one I have is amazing and still is a favorite with me. My now 3 year old knows ALL your songs by heart, it is pretty sweet and I love that she is being exposed to such great music so young!

Oh your songs sound FANTASTIC Mikey! They don't sound like demos at all! Beautiful! Really really nice.
I love having instant access to your music (again!).
I'd love to know who the personnel are on your songs - could you tell us on Wednesday's show? I'm curious (especially who is the soprano female voice harmonizing with you on Plasticine?).
IAC is a miracle of music/technology. It makes me so happy.
I listened to you while putting together my last post - lots of pictures. Go take a look - you like 'em!
Spain sounds fab! I'm happy for you guys.
Take care,
Sue D.
