GMAS...

So that everyone here get's the chance of a shout on this week's show, and there choice of song I play, here is your chance, don't waste a second.
I'm still feeling a little flakey after our holiday, Rene's on the mend though, I'm cooking dinner tonight, and I'm going to have a go at sushi, we've got all the stuff and I feel confident, I'll let you know how it goes on the show, but if anyone has any word's of wisdom between now and this evening, please share them.
I just watched the San Marino Grand Prix, I loved it, but I must say that it wasn't the best of race's, whether that was to do with the director, or the actual race, I shall never know.
Once again, please let me know if you want a shout on IN THE ATTIC this week, and tell me the particular song's you would like me to play. Also, any useless fact's you have would be appreciated, as I seem to have exhausted my supply. I hope everyone's having a good weekend, take care you lot, and GMaS.

Mikey! I *love* sushi, and it's so much fun to make, so have fun with that!

I'd love a shout on ITA, and how about playing "Plasticine" or "Pretty Heart" (with Rachel)?
Thanks and good luck... Hopefully I'll have some more cartoons done, as well! :D

Cheers,

Hi Mikey,
If your not to sick of playing it I would love to hear Plasticine again :)

If you need a useless fact here is one for you:
In the course of an average lifetime you will, while sleeping, eat 70 assorted insects and 10 spiders.

How gross is that!

Take Care

Hi Mikey, now you will have to write this useless fact down 'cos I know that you'll forget. At two minutes and three seconds past one on 4th May 2006 it will be 01.02.03 04/05/06. Plasticine would be good this week or anything else. Like 'em all. Mark

Hi Mikey,

I am still feeling special from my shout-out when Joe tried to break up with me by e-mail...so you don't have to shout out to me this week. I already feel special.

I say "tried to break up" because I think he needs to do it in person. I'm going to see him when I'm in California next weekend.

Luv ya! Good luck with the sushi. Perhaps I'll blog you a useless fact today, if I come upon one.

You look really good in your photos. My son and I went to get our passport photos taken yesterday, and mine is...horrid! really embarrassingly horrid.

Love,

I would love a shout out.

I have some useless facts about Minnesota for you.

Minnesota has 90,000 miles of shoreline, more than California, Florida and Hawaii combined.

Minneapolis’ famed skyway system connecting 52 blocks (nearly five miles) of downtown makes it possible to live, eat, work and shop without going outside.

Minnesota has one recreational boat per every six people, more than any other state.

Feel My Heat, haven't heard that in a while!!!
I'd love a SHOUT! But, I'm just to embarrassed to ask.. ha ha,
But, what would you call me? Not lzygrl, that is a dumb profile name, I used it because, in the beginning, I didn't want to be "known". Now, I feel a bit safer in blogland. You can use Sue or Susie or Susan. My name leaves me a bit schizophrenic. See, I was named Susan, my family stills calls me that, some cousins and friends call me Susie. But, mostly, I refer to myself as Sue. So, you pick. I'll know you mean me! I can't believe it is #9 already. Hey, would you think of doing a John Lennon cover, in honor of #9? Anyway, whatever song(s) you choose, always sound superb!
All the best,

Sue

Hi Mikey,

Apologies, but, I missed the first part of last week's ITA. Did you play the White Stripes video? I'll be so bummed if you did & I missed it, as I was the one clamoring for it for so long. But if not, then I would like to ask for that song/video again. (I feel like such a nag.)

It's been a very floody season where I live on the Northern California Coast. Apparently the whales are still doing their migration. (Cool!) It's been tough to get to the coast as often as I like due to flooded roads and landslides. Anyway, I thought I'd tell you a useless fact about where I live:

In Alfred Hitchcock's classic film "The Birds," it appears as if the schoolhouse is within the Bodega Bay coastal town limits. The frightened children are clearly shown running downhill towards the town and water. In real life, the schoolhouse used for those shots is located 5 miles southeast and inland of Bodega Bay in the separate township of Bodega, California. The ocean isn't even visible from the schoolhouse or church.

Here’s a simpler useless fact: The seeing-eye dog, or any dog trained to guide the blind, cannot tell a red light from a green one. When it lead its master across the street, it watches the traffic flow to tell when it is safe to cross.

As to sushi: I have no words of wisdom about it. I can’t do the raw fish thing, but I do like vegetarian sushi, with LOTS of that hot green pasty stuff. If my eyes are not watering, then I’m not using enough.

Enjoy your evening!

Much Love,
-Natalie

BIG SMILE :) (Isn't that Pete's favorite song of yours?). I was cracking up when you were calling "Behind Blue Eyes" "Mr. Blue Eyes!" Oh Mikey how could you? Blasphemy! ha ha. I think you bruised Pete's ego just a smidge. (kidding) Of course he had to give YOU *hit back! Too funny.
Oh man my neighbor upstairs GUTTED his apartment - it sounded like a jackhammer was going full blast in my livingroom for a WEEK straight ALL DAY LONG. It was misery...torture I tell ya. I thought of you and your renovation woes.

What is the signifance of mentioning your morning bowel movement, or poo in your diary? I don't mean that in a mean way either. Is that another one of those "English/British" things, 'cause as an American is seems unusual.

But, your awesome, and I am so glad to have gotten to know you from reading your blog, listening to your music and watching you on ITA. Your absolutely adorable (and talented)!!!

If you don't have too many already, you can give me a shout out. I will be watching live this week.

Sorry Mikey,
Left this part out on the Dolphins. How does a dolphin sleep if it lives underwater but has to breathe air? The solution is a series of short naps. The dolphin's brain divides itself in two, that is, one half is asleep while the other half stays awake to get the dolphin to the surface for air.

That's a great photo mikey, yes!

I was up in the mountains this weekend with no internet, and actually got quite into the San Morino F1 race also, I don't watch motorsports, any kind of sports actually, but thought of you and watched most of it.

I also figured out how to play Matches as I love it. It's a bit of a challenge to sing and play at the same time though.

Play anything you like, would be interested in your take on Plunder The Covers some day, anything by Nick Drake, Paul Weller or Pete Townshend, any singer songwriter from the UK in fact.

Hope your Sushi turned out ok, I'm going to have a go at Sheppards Pie with left over spuds.

Hi Mikey, I haven't been around for a few days because I'm just getting back from a little vacation, went to a resort in the desert area of Borrego Springs, CA. I'm exhausted but feeling good. :)

Anyway, if it isn't too late, a useless fact:

Did you know that ants kidnap aphids and keep them as pets?
I'm sure you recall that aphids are those little tiny light green bugs that you see on plants, they are pests.
Apparently they secrete this sweet, sticky substance that ants love! It's like a treat or dessert for them. So the ants will literally kidnap aphids and keep them as pets,
bring them food, and everything! They keep them as pets so that they can get this sweet substance that they love!
And they actually treat the aphids really well, until they die of old age, I guess. The aphid. Isn't that weird?
Ants keep aphids as pets. :) I read it in a book, and later also heard it on
a documentary.It's 100% true! GMASO
if you want! :D
Love to you and Rene,
xoxoLisa

Hi Mikey,

You know that feeling when you're just a small kid, and you want so badly to win a prize, and it goes to another kid instead? Your heart sinks a little, and you wonder how great it would have felt to win. When you played "White Stripes" for me at the end of today's show, I felt like a little kid that had won The Big Prize. It's just a cool feeling; I dunno how else to explain it.

I do love that song. And the video is so serene. The sound of the thunder and/or jets above meshes perfectly with the vibe of it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to play it. Such a beautiful song, it is.

I hope life brings you the rich gifts you bring others.

Much Love,
-Natalie
