MARTYRS IN CHIGAGO THEN HOME...
Firstly, I would like to appologize for super slack blogging here. I've taken some time off and should have kept you all informed, but I'm back in the saddle and fully recouperated. Thankyou to everyone who has left me lovely holiday and new year wishes, you are all lovely.
The gig at Martyrs in Chicargo went really well, Rachel opened the show, then I was brought on and performed 'We will fix it','Tourist' and 'Misery' accompanied by Rachel and Simon, I was very happy with my performance and it wizzed by in a second. Then came Simon, who performed brilliantly, then Alexi Murdoch who was great, then Joe Purdy who was equally great, they performed some stuff together and then with Pete and Rachel, then Pete performed an incredible set, finished by a stunning performance by Rachel. It was truly a pleasure to play there, and to meet loads of bloggers in the meet and greet that took place before the show.
After the show, I jumped back on the bus and headed back into Chicago centre, where there was a party being held for all the crew. It was a great night, and gave me the opportunity to say goodbye to the crew.
The next day, I checked out of the hotel and went to the airport, where I boarded the lovely plane that took me home. Being home felt very strange, and I felt weird being in one place, I slept alot, spent all my time with Rene, visited my family and had a lovely Christmas and New Year, all very low key and relaxed.
Rene is back at work now, and the holidays are over, I'm getting back to work, slowly but surely.
Thanks to everyone that helped and supported me, big thanks to my fellow bus members, Justin Kreutzman, Sean Witt and Andy Welch, and all of the Who crew, thanks to Rachel and Pete for getting me out there, and all the bloggers and fans. I had a fantastic time on the road in America, although I found the last two weeks hard, it was a great experience, and I can't wait to tour again soon.
Once again, sorry for my slack blogging, I hope you guy's are still out there, take care all, hope all is cool in blogland, and thankyou again. Please give me a shout if your still out there.

Hi Mikey!
I'm still here! I think...let me check...yup! Still here!!
Great to hear from you.
Glad all is well and that you are back home with your Rene.
I was watching a BTpod cast today...there was a clip of you and Rachel singing a song you don't sing that often...but it's SOOOO good - the harmonies are spot on. I don't know the name of it though- the lyrics are something like "in the air." Is that the name of it?
Don't make me sing it for you! har har
Rachel was wearing an off white silk long gown if that helps...I think E was on too.
Anyway - you guys need to record that one!!
I am home playing hooky when I should be working...I had the flu as everyone in blogland knows by now.
I hate being sick. I miss working, but I needed one more day of rest before getting inundated with germs again (from school kids).
Take care and hope to see you soon!
Love,
Sue
Hey Mikey!
We clap our hands-you are BACK again! Now my dad and I write a comment together. It's great to hear that you had a nice christmas and holidays!!!
We finished to see the movie "High-school musical" and tomorrow we want to see the film "School of ROCK". Monday the school is starting again. :-(
Had you become the christmas-card from us/me??? We sended it to Eelpie.
I wrote a post about the German band "Silbermond". If you have any free time, please have a look at my blog. In June we will see them again in Kassel and two weeks later we will see Genesis in Hannover. Konstantin, my dad and I hope to see a concert of you soon!!!
Love, Charly and Stefan

Only a month of non-blogging? It seemed like such a long time! Anyways..
I'm glad you enjoyed the touring after all, because the US needs you back again.. soon! What is it, like, a month or something? Something like that. I'm going to try and make it to the Borgata show (why no damn MSG show!?!?), so maybe I'll see you there!
Happy belated holidays!
Jacqueline

Hey Mikey! Your alive and well!! Good to hear from you this is Ray we met at Martyrs and you asked if I knew who you where remember? Anyway, I finally got a copy of Invisible and love it! Its briliant, I love all the tracks but I seem to really dig Plasticine and Invisible. When are you going to put out more music? Again thanks for taking the time to chat with me, your set that night was really great, I hope to get a chance to see you again!
Hi Mikey, I had been wondering if everything was OK. Nice to see you back in Blogland and yes of course we are all here. Not a good end to the year for me as my Mum passed away the Friday before Christmas but we made sure we had a good Christmas as that is what she would have wanted. Love to Rene and hope to see you gigging somewhere soon. All the best. Mark

Hi Mikey, thanks for the update. Hope to see you on next leg of tour. Have been wondering what you've been up to, but figured you just unplugged for a while, which is totally understandable.
Was watching 60 Minutes the other night, and Helen Mirren was on, and well, she is from Southend and did the interview on the pier in Southend, least, it looked like a pier. She apparently used to work at one of the stalls in Southend. She's another famous person in addition to you that we know comes from Southend.
Well, hope you have some time to write and record. I've been recording, but have had stomach flu the past couple of days and it really did a number on my voice. But, I can hear the songs in my head, so, all's not lost.
Here is your tip for 2007 Mikey. Add Snocap to your MySpace page so your fans can purchase your music via download without having to order the CD.
Good to hear from you Mikey. I just got back today myself, from a brief trip to visit with my family in Wisconsin. It was a bit cold but no snow. Got to see my nephews and niece.
Good luck on the work. Looking forward to more great music.
Happy new year.
Good to see you are getting back to work.
Any news on some live work in the U.K.

Hey Mikey
Welcome back!
Happy New Year!
Will you be at any of the February-March 2007 Attic Jams?
Dave
Mikey:
About what you said, "I hope you guys are still out there"...
...where to go?
Great to see you post.
Maybe we'll see you again sometime, in real life, as all our lives are real, you know.
Peace,
--Dan L.
