Back home.

Hope everyone enjoyed the show last night, or this morning. Anyway, after the show, I went back to Pete's and watched the whole thing, Rachel and Bernard joined me but both went to bed before the end. I watched it all, and didn't get to sleep til very late. Because of this, I woke up very late, actually just before 2pm. Everyone was out when I awoke, so I just headed home, but the weather had changed dramatically from yesterday, and it was like a summers day. There I was, in my thermal top, cardigan and ski jacket. Not the best attire for the hot long journey.
Back at home, reminiscing about 'In the Attic', in pajamma's no less, everyone sounded great, Pete was so funny, he has a wealth of star studded hilarious stories at his disposal, I just love listening to them, and Rachel has always had the ability to make me laugh, even when I was lowest. I'm constantly saying it, but, I am very lucky. Can't wait til next weeks show, hope everyone can make it, back to normal time. Thanks for all your lovely comments, and if you want to, give me a shout.

You and Rachel remind me of a friendship I had years ago with a guy named James. I could make him laugh at ANY time, being vulgar, or just outright funny. Sadly he moved away and married a woman who felt threatened by me.

But, we could say whatever was on our minds, there was no pressure, or fear of judgement, I would have done anything for that boy.

Mikey, you are generous to us bloggers!

For the Christmas show, you and Rachel could do a funny song with all the bloggers' names in it. Like a big long "shout-out"! I can see it now...of course, your fan base is growing so maybe my Christmas there will be too many of us to list.

Anyway, we love you! Get some sleep now.

"Happy to Be Sad" was written for you? awwwwwwww

Love,
Brina

Hey Mikey,
Excellent show last night. Nice PJ's too. You were awesome.
Thanks so much for the mention my friend.
A bunch of us fans met up in Ballerina girls chat room for a party during the broadcast and for a while after. What a great time we had.
Sure was so nice of Rachel to plug my friend Beverly's show and thank you for saying that her work is brilliant. I completely agree it sure is. You and Rachel are so cool.
Pete got a little loose. I loved his stories.
After the show I wrote some lyrics about Rachel. Maybe you could put them to music? I hope she likes them.
Peace, love and light.

Mikey,
What a truly amazing phenomenon "In the Attic" is. It's so much more than just a "show", because for those of us watching it, we really feel as if we are sitting in the room with all of you, having a chat and watching you play.

Hey, one suggestion: When you are playing a song on the show, try and angle in the other direction; towards your right instead of towards your left, so that you and your guitar neck are in the camera shot. If you watch the replay, compare how your guitar neck is out of the camera shot while Simon, who turned the other direction, is completely in the shot. How do expect us guitar players to nick all of your great chords if we can't see your left hand!

I loved your two songs. Two things constantly amaze me about your songs: (1) You are able to take subjects that would be very corny or overly sentimental in the hands of most other writers and make them work beautifully. I think it's because you find the universal truth in the subject so that others can relate to it, even when it is a subject that is personal to you. (2) You write some of the best choruses ever. Your songs always soar during the chorus and reach a whole new level.

Thanks for inviting all of us to the "happening" that is "In the Attic".

Cheers,

Tom

Mikey,
Excellent show last night. I watched live from my computer in the den in St.Peters, Missouri USA. I thought The Vibrants were great. I bought their EP this morning off their website.

When will you have a CD to offer. I would love to buy some of your music.

If you get a free moment I would love your feedback on some of my music that I've posted on my blog.

Once again, great show last night. I can't wait till next week.

I/We loved the show. My boys were funny, they said how come the GIRLS are wearing their pajamas? They are little 6 and 3 but I told Mikey the eldest thats why I call him MikeyMusic. Now you have your youngest fan. The show brought some joy during a rough time and we thank you and everybody else. Especially Rachel, I tell Sherry all the time how lucky I was to come across her path of "stardome". I have met so many bloggers because of her and you. Thanks for everything michael :) Ps cant wait till your cd comes out!!!

Really excellent show Mikey. You and Rachel are both so funny, you really get the banter going between you and the other guests. All the songs are wonderful each week too. I can't wait till these are available on CD, so I can play them over and over again!

I loved the show - Stephani was commenting that you have such a great sense of humor. I agree, Pete's stories are amazing. I can't wait till his book is out.

I'm already thinking up excuse for working from home next wed.. Although I think I will wear headphones when it runs. When I listen to the loop here at work I pick up all sorts of details.

You and Rachel are so great to be doing these shows. That band The Vibrants, were the best un-signed band I have heard in a long time, I ordered their EP this morning.. Richmond must be the center of the music universe, or they are putting something in the water over there.

Cheers.

Fingers flying I am sore so taking it easy today and working around the house. I posted fun pics for you to see and another fan who also liked your voice on the loop as well!

Si said you are going to work on a CD next week. I should like to hear the song you played for Rene and the one in your brothers garden on it! Let me know when you launch it! I will add them to my Christmas gift baskets if they are out by then!

Great preformances last night.
I really liked your first film. I know it was tough, but you pulled it off. (with a little help from your friends)
If you feel lucky, you brought about the luck!
I loved the "family theme" going on in the attic. (I wish my brother could write songs!-ah, I love him anyway. He is the reason I am such a maniac for music. I was listening to Jimi Hendrix, the stones and the who before I was 8 years old. I was thinking today, that Richmond is like "Height/Ashbury" british style.
Your studio track sounded great. I loved it acoustic, but this sounded so POLISHED!
Keep shining!

Thanks so much for staying up so late for your fans to the west.

Great show again--so funny-great stories and wonderful guests.
You looked great in your PJ"S --

Loved without your love--it must be recorded-I know I have written this before-truly a gem of a song.

Glad you got your rest--sounds like Rachel having a down day due to the quiting smoking. Poor baby--she will get through this.

Love listening to the loop

Belinda
ps--love your haircut-looks much better

It seems that you are blessed with great friends and family. You might give a listen to How many Friends off of Who by Numbers, yall were chatting about it on the show. It gives a little perspective on the whole friend issue

Your music is wondefull I wish it was avaialable. Please what is that tuning again,DADGAE?

Simon is the ultimate in smooth

The Vibrants were fantastic.

Looking forward to you and Roger chatting it up next week

Off Topic about Harry Potter
I noticed it was one of your fav books.
Maybe that was not Dumbledore in Book six but someone else using a strong Polyjuice Potion?

Hi Mikey,

Happy Friday. It was a hard week here but I have my spirits up again and feel brighter.

In solidarity with Rachel, I've been walking a LOT. Instead of one hour, I have already done two today.

Hope you and Rene have a good weekend. Will you get to see the new nephew again soon? I loved the way you talked about him, and about your brother in his new role as Dad. Sweet.

Big hugs!
Brina

Dear Mikey

Due to unfortunate technological circumstances, then later, the fact that I was at work, I was only able to catch a wee bit of "In The Attic". Very frustrating.
When I have enough money saved up, I will upgrade my computer system. Until then I will be patient.
I was there in spirit & wore a pair of trippy slippers! If you have a moment take a peak at my blog to see a photo.
Hope to see/hear you soon!
