Rene's family.

Rene took a day off work yesterday, because she was really ill, I made her her favorite breakfast of poached egg on toast, with marmite on the toast. She has a terrible throat, and she sounds really funny. So yesterday I done nothing but looked after Rene.
Today's no easier, Rene's Mum and Dad are renewing there vow's I think. Their very religous, and I'm not, so its harder for me to understand some of there ways. So today is a big party around Rene's mums and dads house.
To be truthful, I only do these things to please Rene, and give her an easier life with her family. Don't get me wrong, they are very nice to me, ( although sometimes refer to me as 'heathen' ) I just don't really like gatherings with small talk.
Anyway, we've got to go, wish me luck. By the way, Rene's still ill, but putting a brave face on it.
The photo was taken yesterday evening, the sky was amazing, but the poloroid didn't really capture it, oh well.
Give me a shout, humans!

Mikey,

You guys sound like a very great couple, extremely supportive of one another. Have fun at the wedding reception...we never "love" our "inlaws"...just have to put up with them!

Picture is gorgeous!

Dear Mikey,

I'm sorry that Rene is feeling ill. It's good she has you to care for her. Hope your day goes by smoothly and that you can have a cozy night.

Lovely photo, though I know the colors were probably much more vivid in person!

Hugs,
Brina

Hi Mikey,
we have a lot in common. Stephani is Catholic from a very large Italian family and quite religious, and I'm Protestant and let's just say I have an un-tapped spiritual side. Anyhow, since we got married some of the family gatherings involve church etc. I've always felt that religion is a very personal thing for each individual and that it should not be forced on someone else. Stephani's parents are Republicans and believe our Government is doing the right thing and that we should all just go along with it and not question anything.. and I'm more of a free thinker, so, I try not to bring up Religion or Politics in their house at any time, and we had to live there for 4 months while we were renovating our new house.

We all know you are a kind soul Mikey, we hear it in your Music and can see it in your personality. Be who you are, you have nothing to be ashamed of, and I bet Rene knows this. Heathen indeed..

Rene is a lucky woman!

I don't understand being "religous" but understand it is the path which some must choose. I am not a heathen either. I feel there is just different paths for different types of people.

Obviously I don't know you, but what I see and hear, it seems you have a good soul and a very good heart and I love how you laugh all the time when you are in the attic. So God bless ya...(sorry about that)...although I do hope he does bless you...okay...enough said.

I grew up with a nice German name like Kreutzmann (man of the cross). Not to religous in the Grateful Dead family either. Well, not the kind you go to a church for. Best of luck to you!

Mikey,
Im glad to see you taking care of Rene. There arent a lot of guys like us out there. When Sherry is ill it makes me feel good to let her rest and I take care of her. Sometimes we need to step back and do things for the ones we love, they need a break once in a while. I hope shes feeling better. michael ;)

Mikey,
My in-laws are a chore to deal with to say the least. My belief in karmic retribution gets me through the visits, HA HA!.

Get better soon, Rene! I'll be praying for you.

It's funny how when I was a kid I always prayed for some kind of illness so I can stay home and skip school. Now, they're the worst thing to happen when you're trying to go through your daily routines.

Good luck with the small talks, Mikey! Small talks kills me too. But, sometimes you have to do it, I guess.

Salam teman!

Hello Sir Mikey of the Cyber Realm,

Sliced pears simmered in water with some sugar or rock candy makes a nice cold remedy. It's warm and comforting and eases a sore throat, while reducing flem in the lungs.

(It is also really quick and easy for busy guys to make.)
LOL

-Good health and colorful sunsets to you both,
from a happy heathen.

P.S. Ya know how people feel about comedians who steal other comedians jokes? Well, that's how I feel about "Pious" People.

Happy Halloween (Sowen)...or is it ALL Saints Day?

LOL

Dear Mikey

I hope Rene feels better soon. You are so kind.
My husband does his best to look after me when I'm feeling under the weather. It is I who has trouble accepting the helping hand. It seems that I feel I have to be doing all the work, when really I should be resting.
A silly question, but what is "marmite"?
We don't have to be regular church-goers in order to have a religion or belief.
The photo is quite nice & I definitely get the feeling from the sky & water. It must have been quite something when you were right there!

Enjoy your day!

Hi Mikey,
I uploaded some more demo's to my Boy Who Heard Power Chords blog today. Would really dig it if you took a listen. If you ever put out a CD with the music from In The Attic, it would be a kick if you included that little song I wrote about it... he he

Hope Rene is feeling better, I've got a scratchy throat, uh oh

Sorry Rene's sick! I know about that firsthand...for a MONTH! lol!

I understand about the "other side" of the family, so to speak. Some of my husbands family members are very interesting and it is such a bother to get together, but I do it to please my husband...and it works and he is happy so that is just one minor thing to my happiness that I compromise on and it keeps life sweet! I think everyone goes through it so not to worry!

As for religion, I could get into that but won't sorry...just a promise I made to myself about my bloging. I think to each their own and we should live in harmony! I am religious but I don't talk about it should another grossly disagree with me and start up something.

Try and have fun and have a great weekend. I posted another dance photo on my blog I dug up, and a funny boyfriend story that is sure to make you giggle a little.

Cheers Mikey!-Molly

Mikey,
Hope you had some fun at the family function. I know it can be difficult sometimes dealing with the "other side" of the family. But I am lucky as my "other side" lives on the other side of the Atlantic!:)
I´m sure they are very fond of you though!
Especially the way you take care of Rene.
You´re a good man!
Here´s to you Mikey!!

Hi Charlotte, cheers darlin, the photo is probably saved using too much memory, save it as a Jpeg, or bit-map first, I just remeber having the same problem earlier with something I scanned. Good luck, hope to see your picture soon.
