BASEMENT JAM - Now FREE!!!!

Rene bought a new camera on friday, we've done a little Christmas shopping and bought a new duvet, as well as some ski gloves for us both.

The photo's come out pretty smart, we're impressed with the camera, it is probably that we've had an awfall digital camera for ages, but now, my photo's cannot be blamed on the camera.

It's bitterly cold and windy, but the colours over the estuary still seem to glow on the gloomiest of days, I'm wearing my big old parker, and my french cap, but we didn't stay out there long, back for a cup of tea.

So, I hope everyone's had a good weekend, this week will be strangley empty for me because the ITA show has finished, I will however be practicing for the Basement Jam, on the 4th, I hope to meet many of you there, and hope everyone else gets to see and hear it.

Thanks bloggers. GMAS

Hi Mikey, I remember at The Bedford you mentioning that you were looking to get a new digital camera. What make did you get? It certainly takes some decent photos. How's Shauns baby doing? Is Shaun going to Basement Jam? Work tomorrow. Yuk! See ya! Mark

Hey Mikey, how are you? Long time no comment.

Check out Rachel's IAC page, she's #29 already with Just Breathe. Maybe this would be a great place for you to put some of your music clips (not sure how you feel about that).

I just found a demo of "Blackbird" by Lennon & McCartney, the first thing I tried to record on my mBox months ago while we were staying at our in-laws. Was going to update it with a real vocal and real metronome sound.
PTFan had posted on her blog the title for a song "No Turn On Red" and issued a challenge to all songwriters to write an actual song, which I did, and it ain't bad.. It's short. I'll try to upload it once I have finished the MP3.

Hope you're having a nice weekend.

You look a tad chilly in the photo, but the quality (and the subject) is great! I've stocked up on lots of tea now that the weather has turned colder ... nothing like some chai tea after a brisk walk.

Hi Mark, how you doing, I don't think Shaun and Jed will be coming, my brother is like a new man since Jed was born, its fantastic. The camera is an 'olympus', but just an intermediate, it's not a really good one like yours, just a good little point and shoot, I still want to get a good one though.
Anyway cheers Mark, hope Jill is well, and look forward to seeing you again at the Basement Jam.

How weird Lisa, it's all in the stars, thanks for reminding SK, I'm wondering whether I should do it now. Anyway, I'll pop over to yours to watch your film, you must tell us how it was done, the world of the blog grows everyday doesn't it. Thanks Lisa, take care.

Dear Mikey

I just lost the post I was trying to do. So, here goes again...

Ski gloves... It's a start!

It looks cold & windy in the photo, but beautiful, as well. I LOVE the parka you are wearing. My husband has a cap just like that, too. It was inherited from his Dad (Who, by the way, was from Scotland. My husband was born in Scotland, too).

Thank you for posting on my blog. I love hearing from all you new friends.

Take care & keep warm!
Dale

I have to ask. What kind of digital camera did you guys get?

Sunday, November 27, 2005
Blogger musicmikey said...

Yes SK, that would be even better.
Hey Dale, that is so enoying isn't it, I understand completely, well done for posting again, that's true grit.About the ski gloves, we've both already got the jackets, trousers, hats, boots and I have my own board, we slowly but surely getting everything. I've even got a back protector, what I really need is a bum protector. My parker is an American paratrooper one, and the hat I got in France earlier this year. I think my family on my fathers side are from Scotland originally, and Rene's mum is Scotish.
Stay patient Dale, not long to go.

Hi AndyW, we got an Olympus FE5500, it's just a simple digital point and shoot, it looks very pretty and is quite small, it's got all the usual features and a rechargable batteries.
Thanks

Hey, alright, you did it. Good! All gone..
If you can't find the movie, it's ok. But currently showing at me blog is a recipe for glow in the dark candles.
I gave them for christmas last year, and everyone freaked, they loved them! They were a great success. It's fun to make them, you and Rene ( Hi Rene!)could make them fast if you made a joint effort out of it. Ciao!xoLisa

Mikey -

Normally, I just drink chai tea like herbal (even though it is a black tea with spices) - just a bit of sweetener in it (and usually strong because I steep it too long). Occasionally, when I am at home (usually have tea at work), I have it the way I am told is the correct way - with lots of hot milk and honey :)
