Tomorrow's show...
Thankyou so much for your great responces, hope you can all watch the show tomorrow 7-9pm London time, Rachel's got the Roger D interview, and I'll play some songs, I don't know which, although Rene thinks I should play 'invisible', well maybe. I would also like to sing a song called 'Inside', which is about the 'inner self' or inner child.
Here's a picture of the sunset this evening, it's been a beautiful day, I've been doing the drum programing today, it takes ages. Then I popped out to feed the seagulls and get a photo of the sunset, but I took a trial photo while I waited for the sun to drop a little lower, only to find out that I had used the last photo, oh well. You can see a big flock of turnstones I think, they move along the beach every time a dog is walked along the strand line.
Once again, hope everyone gets a good feed, and is able to watch, I'll see you there I hope.
Question to bloggers; what songs would you like to hear again, of mine obviously, just a thought.
Anyway, give me a shout.

Dear Mikey
I will be able to watch the first hour of the show tomorrow over lunch at work!
I will let you decide which songs to sing. Anything is fine with me!
The photo is beautiful. You must live in a very picturesque spot.
(What body of water is that? My geographical knowledge of the UK is a bit sketchy).
If you have a moment, please check my today's blog. It might touch you. I know it has touched me.
See you tomorrow "between the walls".
Dale
Hi Mikey,
Such a beautiful picture. My city is at seaside but the times when it was a naval city are long gone - most people probably don't even realize the sea is there just close by. I've been a faithful follower of In The Attic but haven't got around to thanking you personally for your part in it and the music you've performed on it until now. Really have enjoyed all of it. I can't really name any particular song for tomorrow's show, looking forward to all of them.
Maria
To end, some thoughts on world peace that I rather like by E.L. Wisty
"If all the world were nudists
If all the world were bare
Every one would live in peace
No war would they declare.
If every one went dancing
Around with nothing on
Everybody would be happy
As a person I know called John."
Plasticine. One of my fave Mikey tunes. have a good show.
hiya mikey. wow you always manage to capture southend at it's most beautiful, i love how you snap the sunset.looking foward to tommoro's show glad to see rogers interview, and to hear more songs that will get into my head and will be stuck there for ages. speaking of songs i would love to hear plastacine and tourist again. i know plastacine is dedicated to the lovely rene but could you do me a massive favour and mention me and my mum sandra!, we both love that song. to be honest plastacine makes me cry, god rene is such a lucky girl, funny about our birthdays though hee hee!

Hi Mikey,
Hard to do a selection, cause all your songs are great, really. You're a gifted artist.
If I *have to * do a selection, there's this "lion dream" song. I'm so stupid, forgot this song's title (sorry) was it "better me " ?
Cross my fingers regarding the show tomorrow.
Take care,
see ya 'in the attic'.
Hi Mikey, Plasticine and I'd like to hear inside. But you need to also consider what Rene would like, so all three would be good. Nice photo. Must take some of the sea when I am next in Brighton and post them. All the best for the show tomorrow. Mark
Nice to know the sun is shinning in other parts of the world too. Have a good show tomorrow, make Einstein proud.
PLAY FEEL MY HEAT! I love that one... I do hope I can see it in time though, I will be at school. I hope there is a loop. Love the picture, lovely sunset. Keep on truckin'!
-Kevin
Beautiful photo, I love sunsets!
I'd like to hear Plasticine again :)
Hi Mikey,
Silly me, I want to hear the pigeon song again ( 3 hours? I told my friend about the pigeon, she said "No way! That's crazy!") I quite liked it, with Rachel singing the harmony, it was beautiful.
I want to hear Plasticine, also.
But like Lucy (Tammy girl), I might cry too. I tend to do that also, when songs move me. But they are really happy tears.
Thanks for asking us, I love how it makes it truly an interactive show.
Good evening to all here!
Lisa
I think one of my favs is Plasticine. I would love to hear that one if you can do it. Looks like it is a hit as others have requested it as well!
I LOVE Sunsets! I will have to post some here of the Utah ones we get. They are pretty stunning over the Great Salt Lake!
Have a good show!
Molly
Mikey I'm such a jerk! Just heard myself telling the 'Blue Moon' interesting fact on In the Attic last week... and I so got it wrong the first time. Apologies for that :-/
Still learning to come out of myself in front of the camera so tend to spurt out bollocks quite often.
Still, I'm not on this week 'cause Rach moved it and I've got a gig in Bournemouth Thursday night.
Boooo!
I'll be watchin' the loop though ;-)
Goodnight all, Stuee xx
A sunset like that makes you glad you are alive doesn't it? Whatever you play I can't wait to hear it tomorrow! Have a great time In the Attic!
Hi Mikey,
we may be coming to the U.K. - depends if we can get into the show on the 4th. Would love to say hi if we manage to make it there.
Looking forward to the show tomorrow, should be all tuned in at work :-) he he
Love that song Tourist, or Plasticine.
Am about to indulge in a little drum programming myself.
I love Feel My Heat - such a great feel to it.
Beautiful picture ... you have such an eye for beauty. Did you do much work with photography in college or mostly drawings?
I hope to sit down and catch up with your Indonesian journal this weekend.
Add another vote for "Feel My Heat"
Love the dancing to that one. Your picture brings to mind a story I once read about the magic of the sea and how that sunlight upon it was a path that could take you to the underwater kingdom.
Mikey, I agree with Elaine, "Feel My Heat" would be great. And I Love your pigeon song, and "Without Your Love" with Rachel, and really everything you've shared with us. You're brilliant, luv.
Elaine, the sea IS magic.
Are you in Minneapolis, too? Hope you can come watch the Christmas Attic show at my place, whenever that comes 'round. It would be fun to get us Minneapolis blogger/fans together!
Brina
Mikey, just play in tune. Kidding. Play whatever comes to your mind.
Dear Mikey
Thank you for your comments on my blog.
My husband has already taken some hours to clean the guitar up.
It is in mint condition - not even a scratch on the pick guard!
And it stays in tune...
My husband can play (played bass in a band in Toronto back in the 1980's).
In all, we now have 5 guitars! A Fender studio bass, a Fender acoustic, a no-name acoustic (kids), an Ibanez hollow-body & now the "new" Fender.
George has tried giving me lessons, but I have a hard time learning from him. It's that situation where one learns better from someone other than family!
Because of the new guitar, though, I am planning to take lessons from a local instructor.
Thanks again & see you at lunch!
Dale
Mikey,
I am enjoying your Indonesian blog immensely, every bit of it.
Just thought I'd tell you that, again.
:) Jo in Vista
Thanks for playing Plasticine Mikey.
Plasticine sounded PERFECT. Your voice never sounded better. Your vocals were so full of emotion, it came out sounding strong and confident. Must be your Rene.
Good choice of songs today.
OH btw, Muppet indeed!!!!!
You all look adorable when you bop to the music. I love it.
hi mikey loved the show. you are so not a muppet.cried at plastacine as usuall. i so love that song. atchally could you tell me if you know that is!, who was that baby in the background as pete mentioned in his film, on that wall. he had writings from john lennon and a wierd portrait on the wall, i know the baby was called olivia but who's it? my friend sophie here wants to know. i hope i dont sound too wierd.
take care blog buddy and regards to rene and co
love Lucy (tammy girl)
Lovely songs as usual Mikey!
Mikey - I think today's show was the best show ever (ev-ah), great sound, loved the added percussion, just a fantastic show, and we had the honor of chatting with Rene throughout. I had to watch it and not be a naughty boy.
Cheers mate.
Dear Mikey
You were great! As usual...
I simply love the relaxed, jam-like atmosphere under the rooftop.
To me, that is the best way to be creative - just follow the flow, the conversation, the music...
I wasn't able to watch the whole show, but I thoroughly enjoyed the hour I did get to see.
I have a soft spot in my heart for you, Mikey.
Dale
Oh... I get the Muppet analogy...
DUH.
You simply let the music take you away...
Great performance on the attic today :)
Great work today Mikey. i'm watching the loop with my housemates kids(Dee and Nate) and Dee said you remind her of a Harry Potter person..a compliment!!
Justin's funny isn't he?
Great show today. I told Rachel that your voice sounds better than ever. So what's your secret?
You are very Harry Potter!
Take care!
Peace,
Sue
ooh I just heard your Inside song...I'm trying to catch up on what I've missed. WOW - I LOVE IT!!
I can't wait until you get your cd out there, Mikey!
MIKEYYY!!!!!!
Hey LOVED your partner Rene in our Chat. She was the highlight and I got a feel for her amazing personality! She is super witty and very kind to all. I also was very touched when she said she would be silent and pardoned herself to take in your music as she said so sweetly! What a gem!
I loved the show today and will try and watch the loop again to drink it all in again privatly later this weekend or next week sometime.
Have a fantastic weekend. I wish you could feel the energy in the chat and know how much we all support and are cheering you on with your music and talents. You have a space in ALL of our hearts! Thank you so much for the gifts you bring your fans!
Loyal fan Molly!
Mikey, you're awesome-- musically and personality-wise!
you're also very nurturing and supportive of your friends. :)
Where can we buy your music?
Just wanted to say that Plastercine (how do you spell that word? I'm, baffled, nothing looks right.) sounded fabulous on The Attic last night and that I also really liked the way it sounded when Rachel sang a bit of it - delicate and beautiful.
Your lyrics always seem to have something meaningful to say (even perhaps the pigeon song!) so I'm always concentrating very hard on what words you're singing, but last night I got the chance to relax into that song a bit more like you do when you start to become familiar with a new piece of music and it just sounded wonderful.
Hi Mikey,
Just wanted to thank you for the songs you did last night. In particular Inside and Plasticine (sp?) were supremely beautiful.
Maria
You sounded great on the show. It was my favorite yet.
Ali
Mikey, the performances of your songs on yesterday's episode were incredible! Thank you very much!
The guitar you used on Plasticine (SJ200 with purple strap) - was that a PT sig model? Couldn't quite see if there was the inlaid sig on the fret board. It looked like it had the closed moustache bridge which I didn't think Gibson was making any more other than on the PT signature.
Hello Mikey,
I thought it was about time I posted something...
I love your songs, Plasticine was great last night it gave me goosebumps.
Why do I remember a song called "Beauty" (or "Duty"???).
I think you sang it on episode 4 and it was the first song at the Bedford as well. I hope I'm right because I loved it! And the one you sing with Simon "Misery needs a friend". Again, if I got the title wrong, sorry! I'd love to hear both again.
It was fun chatting with Rene last night at BG's room, she's so witty! But my computer kept crashing!
Anyways, keep making those great songs, you are very talented!!!
I'll see you on the 4th of Dec...
xoxoxo
M
Hey Mikey, a couple things, namedropped ya in a new song I'm working on, hard to explain the reference but the song is called 'Trippy Star' and I might get to record it next week.
Finally got to hear some of Rachel's music. I can see why people like it. It was very good!
Also, we got the new Plum Flower site up, check it out when you get time. The site is huge with music going back as far as 1982!
Excellent performance last night. Thank you very much my friend.
My Son and I were blessed today with the sight of two white doves flying together. I put pictures up on my blog to share with you.
Peace, love and light to you and yours.
You can really only compliment someone so much before they tune you out, and I hate to be redundant, but I gotta tell ya Mikey, I heard Plasticine on the loop this morning and it brought tears to my eyes. So, rock the fuck on! You are incredible. Cuthbert, talented is thy name.
And, which song was it of Stevie Wonder's that you covered a few weeks ago?
Have a good weekend Mikey. Go fishing.
Just got done watching a part of the loop. Great performance on Plasticine. I think Plasticine, White Stripes, and My Way are my favourite songs of yours. Great stuff...
Salam,
Karel
Great show Mikey. Plasticine is excellent. Your laugh cracks me up. So loud and natural. Jills off to Somerset to see her son and I'm Blogging and watching MTV. Off to Folkstone tonight to do some lights, smoke and laser for a band called Angst who are doing a gig for some bikers. Should be interesting. They may even ask me to sing, if I'm lucky. Have a good weekend. Mark
Hi Mikey - did you work out Pete's tuning? I have it down as DADG#AE
what do you reckon?
Hey Mikey,
I just left Renes site and something hit me that Pete was explaining on one of the Attic shows about the Bedford Gig. I/He thought you did well even if you played infront of a crowd thats musical interests were different than the type of music you play. I agree with Pete you are a singer/songwriter, and a very good one too. In the automotive business we have something called demographics. Which is when we advertise for different vehicles we target a certain demographic prospect. The demographic of the crowd was not the same as what your music attracts. Like if you played coffee-house type show, you would kill them, you would bring the roof down. Its like The WHO palying Lalpalooza. It wouldnt work, sure the would do great but as a merchandising point of view goes they would bomb. The merchandising numbers would stiff. Not because the WHO sucked but because of the demographics of the crowd. I think you should be lookng into playing out more. We plan on going out to london this year for 2 weeks and hopefully by then I can get on your guest list. Maybe I can talk Rachel in going on the Attic for a quickie with the family just to say HI!!!. Anyway I think your music is great and real. michael :)
Hi Mikey,
I really liked "Inside". I sat here and played along with you. You are such an inspiration. Thank you my friend.
Peace, love and light.
Really excellent to hear all your lovely comments here, so many new faces, if you know what I mean. Anyway, thankyou all for posting, and letting me know what you all think. I hope you all enjoyed 'Plastercine', on the show on thursday, it seem's that was the favorite. I would normally thank and answer everyone individually, but I'm overwhelmed by the amount of comments, and thought I'd write a single thankyou for now, please comment again, it's not everyday I receive this manner comments. Thanks again bloggers!
