PHOTO BOX.

Here's a drawing, well actually just a doodle, taken from my songbook, I enjoy drawing, it relaxes me. This drawing has been worked on many times, in fact any time I can, but I still don't know what it is, who cares.
Haven't started recording my new song yet, I got up this morning and started looking through a box of old photo's, and I have just finished looking, and it's dark outside, I can't believe it, but I've scanned loads of stuff into the computer and am ready for future blogs.
Thankyou everyone for great comments, and I hope your all reading my Indonesian journal, I found another 40 pictures from Indonesia in the box today, so I'll scan them in.
I will try and record the new song tomorrow, but I need to be in the right frame of mind to record, I'll see what happens.
Rene's screw's arrived today, at last, its only been a month. Still haven't heard from my friend Lee, I don't know how to reach him, or where he's staying.
Well, thanks for reading, give me a shout.

Know exactly what you mean about being in the right frame of mind to record. I'm trying to figure out drums for my new song, trouble is, I know this is going to be the hardest part and take ages, so, I'm avoiding starting it... until I'm in the right frame of mind. I think I'm going to have to record little bits and pieces because it changes rythm in a couple of places. Wish I had a drummer handy.

Your drawing is quite ornate, I like it, reminds me of Pink Floyd another brick in the wall for some reason.

Glad the screws arrived.. I know what you're gonna be into tonight.. :-)

Nice drawing Mikey, reckon you should do a doodle that corresponds to each of your songs in some way. They'd look great as little thumbnails in the CD inlay next to the lyrics.

Link me up baby, Stu xx

Hey Stuey, great idea, although it never really works that way, I could engineer it, but I think that would spoil the charm.
As for your link, saying I look like Marty Pellow, doesn't make me want to link you to me, try someone a bit cooler when next saying I look like someone. Please.
I know you were only joshing Stue, but sometimes people pick up these things and run with them. Hope you are good mate, take care and I'll see you soon.

Wow Mikey, that's rad( awesome)! And I agree
with stuee - it would look great as an inlay for the CD, and maybe even for the
the cover itself!
I like how a person can look at it, and
almost but not quite see things that look familiar.
Sorry about the So.Cal. lingo, at least
I didn't use the word "sick" : )

Hey Lucy, thankyou, I haven't got any downloads up as yet, I'm really slow at getting anything done. But they will happen soon I'm sure.
Don't ever worry about being sarcastic, I'm really bad, always stopping myself from saying things sarcastic, but it's so funny, I've always done it, you can probably see in my Indonesia journal. Anyway, keep being happy, I'm glad to help anytime.
Never worry about upsetting me, really. You are sweetness incarnate (that's a good thing).

Thanks Lisa, I know what you mean about seeing and not quite seeing, I really enjoy not quite knowing.
Rad, short for radical, I know what your talking about, I've used the same expression before many times, although I've never heard sick used in that meaning. Thankyou for your lovely comment Lisa.

Hi Mikey!! I RSVP-ed to the Pay Per View so you will have 4 of us watching you guys!

Here is your critique: This picture speaks to me of a minds work when processing something. It is a very creative mind. It has bitterness, engery and hope in it. I see musical flow but with unattached notes and words. The different images produce a story that could manifest into a song or a whole score or even better a theatrical number. It is off center to keep the interest and add a bit of mystery.

How was that?

Aw, thank you Mikey - I thought you knew what rad meant, but then last minute I thought " Maybe I should clarify that just in case"...
"sick" is a huge, huge word right now, in the world of the young and hip. The first time I'd heard it, I was wearing these funny sunglasses, the lens were actually holograms, they were hilarious( they were later stolen, unfortunately). The holograms lens were these weird-looking eyes. Don't know if you've seen those. I was in Los Angeles...
Anyway, a group of surfer looking boys came up to me, and started laughing hard, and one of them said " Man, those are SICK!!!LOL"
And I thought he meant twisted, warped. So I did take it as a compliment. But I was wrong. Started hearing that more and more, now I hear it all the time. I guess "sick" now means something good, awesome. I
would've meant it as a compliment, but
I could see you thinking I was saying were mentally ill, "sick" for drawing
such an abstract picture. lol
I personally just can't get used to using the word sick, for something good. And I haven't quite figured out if it's exclusive to Southern california, or are young people using it across the country, too? You may hear it in the future by young people, to describe your music. So now you know, it's a compliment. Weird, eh?
Have a good evening Mikey, Rene, and everyone here! : )
Lisa
p.s. I had an idea - I think I may look for those glasses online! I've always wanted to replace them, but had only seen them one place: Disneyland.
Hmm...

Hi again Mikey and everyone:
I found them! And there are some really weird kinds thatI'd never seen before.
I had the regular "eye" hologram lenses.
I hope it's ok to post the link here, I thought you all might get a kick out of these, they really are fun, and now that I'm thinking of it, they would be hilarious to wear on stage!

Hi Molly, I love your critique darlin, you are awesome, great thoughts, I think you are on to something there. Thankyou so much for spending the time, I think you're brilliant. I'll post another up soon.
Nice one Kevin, I always love the duality in all things, and the many grey's in between as well, thanks mate, choice words.
Hey Lisa, I was watching a CSI Miami last night, and one guy called a lamborgini 'sick', and all of a sudden I understood. Thankyou very much, I have also seen them hologram glasses, I saw them when I was a kid in the 'trocadearo' in Picadilly, its shut down now, and there's nothing to see in Picadilly any more, I suppose it wasn't very traffic friendly and there was loads of pick pockets. Onwards and upwards I suppose. Thankyou for leaving me a lovely message, hope you can stop by soon. I won't be wearing them on stage though.
Ah Stuey, you are a king, anyone else would have thought I was being a wally, I probably was, but you cared how I felt, and that means a massive amount to me. Thankyou so much Stueeeee, your link shall appear, probably when Rene gets home from work, the truth is, I don't know how to do it mate, but I'll get Rene to do it soon as mate. See you on thursday, take care.
Hi Jill, thankyou so much, hope to see you and Mark at the gig in the Basement.
Thanks everyone,
mikey.

Hey, Mikey, you answered more than one question for me - so the word "sick" must be used nationwide, after all!
Just couldn't tell on that one, myself.

On the sunglasses, you know, I almost think you guys had them first, over there! You figure that when I was wearing them a few years back, not that long ago, all over L.A. and San Diego,
I was creating a big stir wherever I went. It was clear that none of these people reacting had ever seen them before. Whereas you were aware of them when you were a kid-hmm...
Interesting!
And I could understand not wearing them onstage. I could picture, oh,
Les Claypool ( I love Primus!) or someone like that wearing them.
Thanks for answering! You are one of the nicest guys I think I've met in a long time. The guys here that seem to be really nice to me frequently have an agenda ( if you know what I mean ;). You are nice just for the sake of being nice, and it's refreshing! And good for the soul.

Hey Lisa, I have an agenda, I want to sell my records, but thankyou very much, I do know what you mean. About them sunglasses, you know, what I saw when I was a kid, was a exhibition of the hollograms on glass. Although they weren't shown as sunglasses, just as art, but there was one with eye's.
Anyway, thanks for comming back, and thanks for being a sweetie.

Hey Brina, thanks darlin, hey what is off-rythm? Sound cool, oh and would you know, what the word is, that means a ryhme that isn't quite a ryhme?
Hi Carrie, I could do, but I wouldn't like to carry it on the train journey, which takes me through central London, and also, I think its Rachel's slot, and Pete's now. Thankyou for your idea though.
