Just a walkin' the dog...

I was looking after my friend's dog today, he's a sweat-heart. He's a Japanese Akita, and very big and strong, although totally laid back and relaxed. We get on real fine, and it was good to see how excited he was when he arrived this morning very early.

He sleeps for most of the day, which is fine by me, although I did take him out on the beach for a long walk, and got some pictures, he was far to excited by all the smells to stand still for a second, hence the poor photo.
I cannot afford to let him off the leash, because he is very aggressive to other male dogs, it's only his nature. When he is with me, the conflict never arrises.
I really enjoy our day's together, we don't do it that often, but I enjoy his company. Rene is very sweet about it, although she doesn't appreciate the amount of fur he leaves behind.
Thanks for all your lovely comments, give me a shout.

Hi Lucy, hey don't look on them as scum, there just people who maybe are not loved enough, or maybe they are, I don't know do I, sorry.
Anyway, take care blog buddy, I'm sorry about your detention, I think brilliant people stretch the system, teachers find that scary, they want to put you in a box, label you, not kill you I mean. I no help at all, all I do is play music. Keep you chin up Lucy.
Hi Justin, they are truly man's best friend, eh. Cool that you Dad's doing a blog. Thanks mate.

Hey Mikey. Sorry I haven't commented for a while, I was very busy all weekend. That is one beautiful beach, it looks as if it is never crowded. It would be awesome if it was like that here in california. Haha, yeah right. Its packed during winter. KOT!

Love pictures of dogs and beaches. A great combination. Did you bring a frisbee along and play fetch with him? That would have been fun.

When my friends take me out they like to keep me on a leash too, I tend to be a bit aggressive with males also! ha ha ha!

It is nice to have a buddy to talk to that doesn't necessarily talk back isn't it. I recently posted a photo of my dog on my blog, he just had a tumor removed from his leg, we are keeping our fingers crossed that he will be OK and we are doing all we can to help insure the best for him.

How close do you live to the beach? One of my favorite places on the planet!

Beautiful pics! I love walking the beach and miss living near it. Somday I will move back!

I too don't enjoy the fur...but only because I am allergic to most breeds! Sad isn't it! I just LOVE dogs! We may be getting a black lab when we move because I am not so allergic to them! That dog is beautiful in the pic.

Have a great Tuesday

I love your pictures. But what is the doggie's name?
He looks like he had a great time!
He is a handsome boy.
Aren't dogs wonderful?

P.S. I would like to make a request for one of your songs this Wednesday if I may. Could you please play "Tourist"? I just love that song. Thanks Mikey!!

Beautiful pictures of the beach Mikey! Thanks for sharing your relaxing day with us so we can all enjoy it.

I just had to tell you that I have the exact same alternate guitar tuning book that Pete gave you on In the Attic last week! I think it's an excellent book. It's well worth sitting down and trying out all of the different tunings just to see if there is another that inspires you as much as DADGAD. The book helped me find a tuning that inspired five really good songs!

Cheers,

Tom

Great pictures, Mikey. Looks like the doggie is having fun. Man...I want a pet so bad. I've never had any pets ever before.

Anyway, how far do you live from the beach, Mikey? just curious...

What a cute cupcake that dog is. I adore dogs. If I had a beach and a dog, I would probably lose about 50 lbs. from walking him every single day for hours. I adore the ocean!

Found it... curiosity satisfied... still get the 'format unsuported' message when I try to play your sound clips. Technological roadblock!
Nice beach! I'm scared of water...

Hey everyone, I live very close to the beach, I walk out my door, cross the road, and I'm on the beach. The beach is the north bank of the Thames, as it opens to the sea, also known as the Thames estuary. Glad everyone loved Jabu(thats his name). I'm currently working with a tune out of my new book, it is CGdgbd', what have you found Tom? I'm always curious.
Hey Elaine, I didn't bring a frizbie, he just isn't the type, he doesn't fetch, or do most things other dogs do.
Hey Zoe, I'll do my best to fit 'Tourist' in for you.
Hi Meg, I hope your dog makes a speedy recoverery. Thankyou. The pictures are taken close to where we live, we are very lucky that the beach is just over the road. I also love the beach, the feel of the sand under your feet, the smell of the sea, anyway, thanks for commenting everyone, I hope I answered all your questions, let me know if I missed you out, it was not intentional, I assure you.
Thanks bloggers.

I'm having a blast walking our new baby in the park by the lake - it is so fun watching him find new smells and investigating everything his leash will let him reach (except for goose droppings - when we come across a spot with a lot it's "run time!", which he also loves). Beautiful pics ... hope to see the Thames one day.
