Tonights Show...

The last show, I can't believe it. Well its not the last, cause we've got the Christmas special, and the Basement Jam, and it's all for free, can't be bad. I hope everyone can watch tonight, and the others of course.
I found some lovely sounding chords with that new tuning, but no words, I'll have another quick go, but don't hold your breath.
Another short blog from me here, I going to leave even earlier this week, and hope I don't get in the same problems as last week.
So, I hope you get a clean feed, and really enjoy the show.

Thanks very much bloggers, give me a shout.

Mikey,

I really love that song 'Tourist'.
Your pickin' and singin' is
so robust and full of soulful
gusto.You really put the feelings
into your music which is the
type that reaches into the
listeners outer reaches.
Keep it comin' mate!

Hey congratulations Lucy! That was neat hearing your name mentioned.Justin's too!
Mikey, that was fantastic. I didn't boo-hoo during Plasticine but I did tear up.The passion of feeling that you feel for Rene is so strong and ...moving, I guess. I relate to feeling that way about someone.
Good Job, Mikey. Can't wait for the 4th!
( only 1 hug and kiss for you, you have a girfriend who's nice.It wouldn't be appropriate!lol) xoLisa

Hi Mikey,
Thanks so much for sharing your wonderfulness with us! You are loved by many!

I was cleaning my kitchen for HOURS last weekend and I kept singing Plasticine, because well, I have this gorgeous voice that no one will ever hear! But seriously I love it and it's really fun to sing. I especially like the plastic see -ee-ee-een part (phonetically speaking, you get the drift). Could you please post the lyrics someday?
I only know a few of the words.
You are right on about the positive flow that is created when you sing.
My voice has much improved as I've cleaned up my act...I know that it has, because my daughter's friends don't make nasty comments like, "does you mom
mean to sing so badly?" ah, kids these days...
I love love love your Indonesian blog - haven't been able to read it much lately, but I'll pick it up again soon.
We may move to Taiwan for a year or so, so I'll have to blog about my travels in the Pacific Rim, should that come to pass...I hope it does!
Take care.
I'll miss your cute little mug!

HEY BOOBIE! went out tonight -- kind of a ritual for me and my mates in los angeles the night before thanksgiving. i returned home to put on the attic immediately...and...very strange, to receive an email from my old flame and love...he lives in LIVERPOOL! should have married him...but that is 10 years ago. met while traveling thru europe and israel. oh well...but kind of strange hearing from him after all these years and having these tie to you and rachel and your "world." the show today is great. only have seen a bit, but caught you singing. YOU ARE BRILLIANT. thank you for all!

I loved everyones singing Mikey.

I can see you're going to get even better on guitar, because you have talent and you are interested in all of those tunings etcetera.

Funny to realise that our music scales, the ones used very often in western music, are not complete.
That's the difference with a sitar and a guitar, a sitar has 16th and 32nd divisions, without bending any string, more representative of all the sounds available to us in the ether.
That's why the voice is the most perfect instrument, it can get to all of the in between bits.
I bought a guitar in Southend once Mikey, in MonkeyBiZZ, i think it was called, driove all the way, from Holland, thinking it was cheaper there, whenI got back here to Holland, I saw the exact same guitar for the same price ahaha.
Well, was a nice trip.

I have a bit about Indian music scales I'll put it on my page in awhile, it explains very simply the difference between Western music and Eastern, specifically Indian and explains how each tone has a colour and an animal assigned to it, and how music connects us to our divine oversoul.

Mikey,

Hope you enjoyed the show last night and indeed the whole series.

We enjoyed our little session!

just wondering whether you and Rene fancy coming London bound on Saturday to watch our gig at The Halfmoon in Putney. Should have asked you before to give you a bit of notice but it's been hectic. I've been in France and then when I got back I went straight to Manchester to do a gig.

Take Care

Hey Mikey,
thank you so much for doing In The Attic with Rachel. Going to miss hearing your infectious laugh and your live renditions of your songs. You left us all wanting more so I hope you do more after the holidays.

Looking forward to possibly meeting you in person.

I posted a new MP3 of one of my songs onto my Boy Who Heard Power Chords blog. It's called "Just Can't Take My Eyes Off You", something a little different. It's a rough sketch and needs more guitar, there's a spot for the solo, but I haven't worked that part out yet. Hope you have time to listen and comment.

Now I'm off to enjoy a classic Italian Thanksgiving at the Cardullo's..
