SEASIDE AND LOOPS...

I'm sorry for not posting in a while, no excuses. I keep going to blog, and then watching the BASEMENT JAM LOOP, I have been updating my Indonesian blog, although I've been a bit sloppy with that as well.
I will get things back on track, and post my frequently, well that's my intention.
Since last I posted, me and Rene went shopping at IKEA, it seem's that we havent learnt our lesson yet there, and had our trolley stolen half way round, fully loaded, how annoying. Next day having dinner at Rene's families house, and then trying to watch the loop whenever I get a minute.

I've also been out a few times with the camera at sunset, and caught some amazing shots over on the beach, I've posted up a few of my favorites, and hope you all enjoy them.

Looking forward to the CHRISTMAS SPECIAL 'In the Attic', on the 17 December, go to Rachel's blog if you want to watch, I don't think this event is going to be advertised on Pete's website, so that more blogger's get a chance to watch. It is going to be a great show, I will be playing some never before heard songs, and there will be some special things happening. Hope you can watch, go and sign up on Rachel's blog as soon as possible.

Hope you like the pictures, GMAS.

I just had a moment to watch part of the loop a few days ago.
Your set was the part I was able to catch.
I'm glad it was. You were very good.
Spent the rest of the night with Plasticine going around in my head.
Going to be in North Carolina at a show my Dad's playing with a new band so I'm afraid I'll miss the Christmas show.
I know it will be great.

Well, I have the reservations, I'll be watching. Your holiday sounds awesome, Justin.:)

Mikey, please answer one thing: What is that thing?lollolol I'm still wondering
if that's some sort of buoy, what?
I never did get an answer from anyone on that. It's interesting because in the latest picture it's sideways. Must
be a buoy.Looks like a lamp, though..
possibly an Ikea?:)

Hey Mikey, I got excited when I saw that you had a new post. Hehe.
Great pictures!
I hope I get to see the Christmas Special. What will Rachel do without Stuart?
I hope you had a good Monday, I'm about to go to guitar and I just had jazz band so I'm in a pretty good mood.
Hope to catch some more of the loop tonight - I just keep watching it over and over again. It's an amazing show.

Dear Mikey

I know how being busy can get in the way of blogging...
I actually get up really early in the morning to post!
Then I check my blog & others in the evening.
If I have time...

Thanks for your kind comment on my blog. We skied Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Excellent!!

I've posted more photos, as well.

Have lots of fun at the Christmas Special!!!

I won't be able to watch because that day is booked.
We are skiing, hitting the hot springs after, then going to an overnight Christmas party at a local resort.

This might sound a wee bit dumb, but what does GMAS mean?

Cheers
Dale

Hey Lisa, great to hear that you are going to be watching, thanks very much.
That buoy is actually cones on poles that mark the end of the groins along the beach, they go all along the beach, and groins are the wooden separations, that stop the sand from eroding.
I also heard, but can't be certain, that the green marker cones on poles are at radar height, and mark the coast on the radar screen, they are all green, and the same height, and the one that was bent over in the grey picture will probably be replaced, I have noticed certain one's dissapearing. We used to through stones at them when we were kids, when you hit one it rung out like a bell, and in the summer at high tide, we would swim out to them, and try and climb them, always cutting our leg's in the process.

And IKEA is a new wave furniture shop from Scandenavia, quite cheap, minimal stuff.
Anyway, I hope you understand, let me know if I've just confused you more.

Hi Lucy, that's terrible news, and your Mum's lost your CD, what!
Unbelievable bad luck, I'm sure everything will turn out ok, they always do. Hope you had a brilliant birthday, where did you go, shame your Mum isn't taking you seriously, things will work themselves out. Take care blog buddy.

It's a shame you won't be able to watch the show, I'm afraid that it won't be looped either, oh well.Hot springs sounds amazing though, have a great time.
GMAS stands for 'Give me a shout'.
It's kind of a joke with Kevin, he's trying to find more acroynms, I bet I spelt that wrong. Anyway, I'll be over to see your new photo's in a bit, take care and thanks for posting.

Hey Kara, check the comment I wrote to Lisa, I think it's one of my first answer's up here, the triangle things, mark the end of each groin, and I think they mark the coast for the radar, so I think they are radar markers, or that's what I heard anyway.
It will great to see you on the Christmas special, well you know what I mean. Take care, and thankyou.

Ok Mikey, they were from me.
I was in a total state of shock. I still am. Earlier in the last post of yours,
whew, I can hardly breathe.
In the previous post of yours, one of them, I'd mentioned that for a lark
today I'd emailed Fox Rox, a local music
show that is affilated with Fox channel.
They play all kinds of new and local talent. Many known people have played that stage, that show.
Jewel, jason Miraz, um, others.
I can't think.
So anyway, when I'dposted in your comments section, I pasted word for word what i said to them. I laughingly
said, "well see if they respond with
more htan a form letter."
You can go read your own comment section! lol
What all those were were me freaking out, because ai got an email out of the blue. Some guy Named Scott Richison. Says
" Do you want to go to see Unwritten Law at House of Blues tomorrow night?"

And I emailed back " Um, maybe. who
are you?"
And he emailed back...
" The producer of Fox Rox.Do you want to go to HOB tomorrow night?"
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please play Plasticine if you can during the Christmas Special, even though it is not Christmas. I think that is becomming one of my favs of yours!

OH and Marietta and Mark and Jill all told me about your CD..so share the love and let me know how I can get one from you. I will gladly pay postage. I can send money or seeing as Rene is on eBay I have PayPal if that would work! I am sure she knows how to work that one.

Take care and see you on Saturday as I will be watching the show!

or Chris Isaak on the 31st! New years eve! Hmm...
Butit's funny because i'm even going to look at my post that I wrote here.
I think i'd said something like " my blog is better than yours"
Isn't this crazy??? The producer of Fox
Rox asked me out to house of blues.Hmm...I'm actually scared, you guys.xoxoLisa

But the other crazy aspect - how fast my email with my blog link made it to him.
You figure I'd mailed it to Troy, the host of the show. In what, a few hours, I get an email from the producer? WOW!!!
Who all saw my blog today, anyway?
This was the stuff I threw away Mikey. looking back, I guess I should have left it. But I din't want to take up a bunch of space oT.

Hey Mikey

I forgot to comment on the photos!

I absolutely love the pink-tinged one with the sand spit horizon! The stacks in the background are so surreal.
Very beautiful in an eerie way.

Your sea is much like my mountains.
Always there, but ever changing.

Hey...lyrics to a new song?
But it's true, the mountains never look the same from hour to hour & sometimes minute to minute.

Very lovely. Thanks for sharing.

BTW I can't be in that great shape - I'm feeling a wee bit beat up today... LOL

And what are those posts in the water out there for? Something to tie a boat to? Sorry about what happened at Ikea. Its happened to me at costco, how annoying. GMAS!

Oh sorry I just read what you put up above about the posts, sorry. I know some more acronyms, but they have nothing to do with saying goodbye. for example SOBER: Son Of a Bitch, Everythings Real. TEAM: Together Everyone Accomplishes More. I know dozens more, but I won't bore you more than I have.

Watching the Basemant Jam, I loved your set. I thought you were very strong, excellent projection and great emotion, really really good stuff. I also heard Simon mention before his set that there were CDS of yours in the Lobby for sale, anychance there is a virtual lobby for me to buy some of your music. The photos are great, I always thought England was all clowdy in the winter, is that the channel or the ocean or some other body of water.
Looking forward to the Christmas special, you have some real fans out here in the blogosphere Mikey.

Hi Mikey,

When we met I forgot to say how much I enjoyed your part of the gig.
Making up for that now, I hope.

I can see clearly how much you enjoy that new camera. I find 'sat beach 011' especially impressive.
Talking about pictures, thanks for selecting one of mine to put on your blog!
Tell you what, I promised Simon T a cd with all my basement pictures in Full Resolution (8 megapixels). I'll send you your own cd through the same channel, the Eelpie office in Richmond.

There is a snag though: I'll include my complete GarageBand repertoire in mp3's which you are then supposed to listen to, okay?
Other readers can find the mp3's on my blogspot

Love,
Koos

Your photographs are beatiful as usual. I am begining to see you have a very inspired photographic eye, another one of your many gifts! I will be watching the Christmas Special, through what I am sure will be very swollen eyes and face (I am having jaw surgery the day before) but I will be there none the less. I've got myself hooked up with a wireless laptop and I have permission to use it in the hospital. Now that is dedication! I can't wait to watch, hoping it will be a nice spirit lifter for all of us!

It is a race that I love though. I can't complain. For 2005 to have started in a bad way, it has ended so well. You have had a part in that great ending. Thanks Mikey. I hope you always share as much as you do with your friends and fans. No matter how

Hey Kevin, hope your doing well mate, only 13 days to go, great. KCUWNA, keep coming up with new acronyms. How about that one.

Thankyou Brojo, working on the lobby thingy, British winter's can be grey but because the sun doesn't go as high in the sky, it rises and sets over the water, which helps for these beautiful sunsets, it doesn't work in the summer, that's why I take so many pictures at this time of the year.

This is off subject, but I noticed that you listed Dr. John in your music list, and I wanted to ask if you were familitar with his album GRIS GRIS? It's the spookiest thing I've heard this side of John Lee Hooker.

It was his first album, credited to DR. JOHN - THE NIGHT TRIPPER

uh, had a typo up there...it should be familiar...not familitar...I think familitar is latin for "military family"
