SINCE BASEMENT JAM...

I apologize for letting this blog slip, since BASEMENT JAM on Sunday night, which I should say, went very well, enjoyed by everyone, and considered a great success.
Me and Rene returned home very late, Rene drove and then had to get up for work really early the next morning. I woke up, feeling like I had the flu or something, and didn't do anything all day, we both had an early night.
The next day, I felt completely fine, so it can't of been the flu, but I must of just been exhaustion. I went out and bought Rene's birthday present's, and actually gave them to her that night, because of our plan's for Rene's birthday evening.
Rene had to work on her birthday, and during the day, I went for a long walk on the beach with the camera, and got some great photo's.

Rene got home from work, and we left almost imeadiately for the cinema to watch the new Harry Potter movie, after the film we went to Rene's favorite resturant and had a great dinner.
Rene had a great birthday, and I was very happy.
Hope everyone enjoyed the show, I've heard that there is a loop going up for everyone that didn't get a good feed, I can't wait.
Anyway, take care bloggers.
Give me a shout.

Great photos :)
I love the ocean, maybe it's the pisces in me. I'm originally from New Hampshire and I miss living near the beach.
I didn't get to see the Basement Jam but from reading other peoples blogs it sounds like it was a great show. I'll look forward to seeing the loop.
Too bad Rene had to work on her birthday, I think everyone should get to take off on their special day, but it sounds like you both had a great time:)

Hope you both are well,

Mikey, we were in our little red car going to Leeds Castle yesterday listening to your wonderful EP all the way. A lovely CD, thank you.

Hope you are doing fine. I haven't written any new songs while here, but have lots of imagery to call upon when I am home.

We are off to see The Vibrants with Mark and Jill tonight.

Talk to you soon.

Hey Mikey! Nice pics!
Maybe you were psychically drained, from giving your all during the performance. From what I saw, it makes sense.
Never heard you sound better, man.
BTW, what the hell is that thing in the ocean pictures?lol
The tall pole thing,I can't figure it out! Unless its a buoy of a kind I've never seen?
And hey, we all have been having these horrible blog problesm, hopefully they'll get then all worked out.
Sucks that I missed wishing Lucy and
Rene Happy Birthday, but I literally couldn't get into about 90% of hte sites yesterday.
Happy Birthday Lucy! If you read this!
I'm going to go and see if I can get into Rene's blog....xoLisa

Hi Mikey! I really love the beach photos.

Sometimes after a big performance I've gotten really sick the next day or so. I believe our adrenaline works overtime at concert time, esp. if it's an important one for us, and then we just kind of have to regroup.

The last two years this has happened to me after our big chamber music concert weeks in Vermont. So I empathize with you. Glad you're back up to snuff now!

Love ya,
Brina

Mikey, just wanted to say it was worth travelling down to Twickenham from Yorkshire just so that I could own Plasticine on a CD, LOVE it!

...and my friend who came with me *loves* the song about the pigeon (she missed it on The Attic), we were talking about it on the train back home.

You were *so* brave going on first, especially after Pete winding you up, and you did fabulously! Can't wait to sit and watch the show all over again from start to finish on the loop.

Hope you enjoyed Harry Potter too, I'm addicted to those films (and the books). The new one is *such* a long film but still cuts loads of important bits out from the book, I'm baffled how anyone who doesn't know the books will understand what's going on!

Hi Mikey,
One more thing (or request). Years ago, Roger Daltrey did a song (on a solo album) called "One Man Band" - it was written by Leo Sayer and David Courtney. I think you could do a great version of that song (just you and the guitar). Both Daltrey and Sayer recorded the song on differnt occasions, both great versions.

Thanks again!

Thanks for being a part of it. I think we should all get together and lobby for an American version of the show, what do you think?

* Once I had a word verification here that said BYTCH, I can accept that sometimes I can be but this time it is GYEEK. Unacceptable, I'm not a geek, well maybe every once in a while........... This word verification system reads directly into my soul! ha ha ha
