TOMORROW'S SHOW!!!

Hope everyone gets a good feed for the show tomorrow, it all starts at 7:45pm LONDON TIME, and runs for around two and a half hours.
There will be performances by Rachel and her band, me, Simon Towshend, Foy Vance and Pete Towshend. It is an incredible line up, and I am honoured and privileged to be sharing a stage with such amazing artists.

BASEMENT JAM is completely FREE!

A special page on the Eelpie site has been set up for anyone who wants to see it live, to watch the show you will need to click here to view.

I went for a walk today on the beach, and took some more photo's with the new camera, this one was my favorite of the day, I hope you like it. Hope everyone who can, watches the show, and has a great time.
Give me a shout.

Very very cool shot, Mikey. Love it. I feel like I'm right there.
Thanks for clearing up the confusion about the time for us!
I'm still not sure what time it is here, it's the daylight savings thing that throws me. I'm going to tune in extra early (but not too early) to make sure I get a "seat!"
Have an awesome show!
Ta ta for now,

My old blog totally quit letting me post to it. Something about ftp

Peace, love and light.

Hi Mikey,
You did look quite HANDSOME. Thank goodness, because my screen kept freezing up. It would catch you mid-song, but you looked good, didn't get any awkward shots. I look forward to the loop.

You sounded WONDERFUL -both your voice and guitar playing! I kept saying, "WOW!" I'm so glad you played My Pigeon Friend. I wasn't able to hear all of Plasticine though.
Can't wait for the loop.
Take care,

Mikey,

I only got to see bits and pieces of your performance because of the bad feed, but for what I did hear the sound was fantastic. They had just the right amount of reverb on your voice and your guitar sound was crystal clear. The camera work was really excellent. The show is going to make a superb DVD, and you'll be amazed at how great you look and sound when you watch it.

You did a great job of opening the show! I know you must have been nervous. I coudn't tell how the sing along for "My Pigeon Friend" went because of the bad feed, but I really hope you got a good response because I feel partly responsible for talking you into it :)

That's one more really great gig that you can build on. Your definitely not a musical tourist mate, your a full time lodger!

Bravo!

Tom

Mikey, I was in Oceanic Studios, and you were brilliant. Very confident and accomplished, and your voice was on top form. TOURIST in particular I loved, and CLEVER GIRL was very impressive. You should be proud of yourself. Everyone else is.

Mikey, wow! Not only were you brave and sweet and oh so heartfelt singing your songs, you looked very handsome too. That shirt made you look muscular (extra-muscular) and hunky. Rene must have been SO proud and happy.

I like that you brought some of the informality of the Attic to your set: starting over on "Plasticine", that was very cute and made me want to hug you.

Thinking today about how different each of you men are in your music and style: you, Foy, and Simon. I didn't get to hear Pete's set or the end of Rachel's, yet.

Thanks for putting on such a great show for us. Love, Brina

Your set went really well.
My wife really enjoyed The Pidgeon Song. It had a different vibe to it. It was excellent I thought.
I was one of the few bloggers that had a perfect feed for the show. So I saw everything perfectly clear and everyone sounded great!

hi mikey me ol mush

saw some of your set, great voice Mikey
I'd have felt like a turkey lyingon a bed of paxo listening to christmas carols if I'd been first on, you are brave mate.

Someone told me that if you ever are playing and go wrong just carry on get it right next time, most people would'nt even notice.

I'll tell you about BB King.
BB couldn't read a note of music. He had a big beat though and the band members, all accomplished musicians liked him so when BB played a 37 bar blues or a 99 bar blues or a 17 bar blues they covered up for him, because they liked his feel and beat and him.

Most people even if a classical guitarist does a thing wrong wouldn't even notice it unless they are as good as the player, but you can camoflague these things to make them seem part of the act.

I was playing once in a park with about a thousand peopkle watching in the summer, it was theatre, dance, music, and this weird guy who somehow had something to do with it just before I struck my first note turned all of the knobs on the amp so that I distorted beyond all recognition, I happened to be playing (trying) When You're Smilin
if I hit a note it delayed by about (I think) 5 seconds, what everyone thought was that I did it on purpose, that it was my act, because I had some weird expressions on my face looking at the amp and trying to figure ut what that fucker had done and why and still kept on playing, I felt awful but then the girl who helped organise it said she heard from people that they thought my act was the best of the lot, when I knew it was horrid and I felt a fool. I was looking at the amp with a long face but singing When you're smilin, so they thought it was all on purpose that I was doing theatre, God knows.

Only theatre I've been in is at the dentist's gaf.

Mikey your voice has the same kind of qualities as Stevie Winwood, it sticks out.

Dear Mikey

I heard that you were great on Sunday!
Talking to the bloggers who were there, I discovered that the show was a success.
It must have been nice to meet the people behind the names!

I wasn't able to watch that day & I heard there were some techno-difficulties due to the large volume of those logging into the show.
That is good for you!
Not so good for those trying to watch!

I'm very glad the show was a success!

Love

Thankyou so much to everyone here, I had a great time performing and a wonderful night meeting bloggers and enjoying the rest of the show, that's the one good thing about going on first, although I was very nervous before I went on.
Thankyou for all your very kind comments here, you make me smile. I apologize for letting this blog slide a little over the last few days, there's been a number of reasons. Sorry for not answering these comment's individually, but I'll try to this week, as things are a little carmer now until the Christmas Special. Hope you all are well, thanks for watching.
