Developing a groove...

Had a great day yesterday at the studio, it's great working with Rachel. She's a brilliant musican, and an amazing singer and writer, and more than that, she is very funny.
We are speeding through the tracks, more recording next week on vocals, they are sounding great.
I can't wait until I've got a CD, I really enjoy listening to recent recordings.
I've been working on the new song today, it's really coming together, and developing a groove, listen to me. Anyway, just a short shout out.
Hope all of you are doing well and happy, take care and GMAS,

mikey

Went and got some Honey today..that one kind you use. Feeling a tiny bit better so I shall see if it is indeed the "cure all".

Sounds like you are in great spirits. Glad to see you so postive and excited about your work. Your songs are climbing the charts on IAC. I make sure to get my vote in daily. Wonder if you knew you can only have one vote per song per computer address. That means 2 for you with Rene and the rest of us. Yippie!

I would love to see more Art if you have any to post :)

I am glad to hear you had a positive experience in the studio, you're right Rachel has a wonderful talent as do you. I imagine the creativity that flows when the two of you are together is unbelievable. You seem to be such kindred spirits.

MIKEY!! So thrilled that you are coming to the states with Rachel!
Can't wait to tell Emma!! I hope we get to see you !

The days that your recording sessions were on Towser TV, I had you on and worked on some drawings that have been sitting and begging for "color"! You and Rachel are so inspiring and your laughter cheers me.....So glad things are going so well, you deserve it.

Love to Rene, Dahlin'

Dear Mikey

I'm still on the honey, Honey!

I have wild flower, mountain flower (of course) & forest honey. I'm finding out which kind goes best with all my different teas.

I am so looking forward to a CD from you!
My old computer does not allow me to listen to most songs, so that will be the way I can listen to you the best!

Take care to you & Rene.

Love
Dale

P.S. I know that I am really sick when I choose not to go skiing. I will be missing Chicks today.

Ride the wave Mikey. Ride the Wave. Glad to hear that you are letting the music flow. I am listening to some old Roy Harper stuff right now, and your MP3s. Life is good.

Looking forward to the launch of your album Mikey, it's time to kick this thing up a notch. Hope you are rocketing up the charts at IAC. You are on a bunch of stations now - WOW! Did you know that IAC is located just down the road from me in Orange County?

I was re-doing one of my songs last night (Churchyard), ended up a bit frustrated over things though. My ears started to give out on me and this morning when I listened to the mix it had lost its snap, was a bit muddy. I think I can fix it tonight though. Was up till midnight and really should have just packed it in. Oh well.

My Dad was telling me how he got into the antique dealing thing the other night, and he gave me an idea for a song. He described standing on top of his lorry in Bermondsey (he used to drive for esso), and he was taking a dip check of the levels in his tanker, and while up there, he watched a china cabinet move from the back of a van to 3 or 4 other vans, being sold and re-sold. Also described blocking other dealers at the back of vans while his mate jumped up on the back to deal on what was for sale. Cold fingers and toes, he once got frostbite on his toes and almost lost one. But every Sat at midnight in Burmondsey, making money out of old junk, as a means of getting to America really painted a picture in my mind and I'd like to honor that somehow in song. I think it may be the Irish in me coming out..

Hope to see you very soon.

I am anxiously awaiting your CD. I am thankful for the IAC so I can at least listen to your music until an "official" CD comes out.

Hope to see you this summer! I will for sure see you on ITA!!

Although it helps that Rachel is an incredible talent, things are going smashingly because you two get on so well. I know my job would actually suck most of the time if it wasn't for the great bunch of guys I work with. Nothing like a few chuckles to ease the stress off and keep things from getting under your skin.

Can't wait for you to get your CD out and also hope to see you when you come to the States!

That's super cool that you are going to be touring with Rachel too. Be sure to schedule a gig in Seattle, so Tom and I can come see ya!

Mikey,

Glad the recording is going well.

Although I know you'd like to buy my latest CD off CD Baby or iTunes, if you are unable to do so, email me what address you are (remember, I'm from the U.S.) at infowebsitejfs@aol.com and I'll send you one.
