LOOKING BACK AT A GREAT SHOW...

Really enjoyed the ' In the Attic ' Christmas Special. Rachel, Pete, Simon and me all played a few songs, in fact the show was packed with music. I played some never before heard songs of mine, and also sang a duet with Rachel that went really well.

As always Pete and Simon played amazingly, and Rachel was in superb form.
It was a shame to hear that some people were getting a poor feed, the PPV was supposed to have cured that, but Rachel has said on her blog that she will try and loop the show for those people.
The evening was an experiment to see if the technology worked, it did for many, but not all unfortunately.
After the show ended, me and Rene drove back across London to our home by the sea, it was very late and we were both very tired.
It was great to meet Jerry, and I was really impressed with Rachel and Jerry's impromptu performance of 'Around this table', Jerry has got such a great voice.
I feel very lucky to be part of this great event, thanks to Rachel and Pete for making it happen.

Please go to Rachel's blog and check out the IAC chart, that Rachel and Pete have a number one, with 'Just Breath', a really great song. My congratulations go to Rachel and Pete, they truly deserve it.
Thankyou to everyone that commented on my blog, hope I played most of the songs that I was asked too, if I didn't play the one you wanted, I appologize.

Hope everyone is well, and getting reading for a great Christmas, take care all, and GMAS.

Good to see Jerry is better, and all had a great time. I went to high school with Jerry. Great photos of Jerry and Rachel. Man I need a big Jumbo Gibson acoustic. I just bought a mini Jumbo Dean acoustic, so it will have to wait. I love your guitar. It sounds awesome.

Hi Mikey, glad the special went OK on Saturday. Like the photos you post. It gave me the idea to post a photo I took some time ago of a cloud. It's quite spooky. Hope that Rene is fully recovered from her cold. Keep strumming! Mark

Mikey -

I thought the show went well. I had one of the shaky feeds but I still enjoyed it. It was nice that they offered refunds, but I wouldnt want one. THe show as I saw it was worth more than 4 bucks and, besides, it was for charity right? Happy to help.

You sounded really good - I was wondering who your influences are/were.

Anyway - looking forwards to listening to more of your work.

Hey Mikey!

I just realized that I haven't been to your blog in a while. I have been posting occasionally on Rachel's, but I'm not sure if you read hers. Anyway, I am thoroughly impressed with your music. You've got some great stuff going on and I really enjoyed when you and Rachel played together. You guys always look like you are genuinely having such a good time together and playing your music that we can't help but enjoy it too.

Lucky for me, I had a great feed for the Christmas special and didn't miss a beat. One thing that I mentioned in the chat was imagining how it must be for you to play with Pete watching over your shoulder like that. I realize that it's probably like playing for family now, but I was wondering if you might share whether you were nervous the first time you played with him looking over your shoulder. I would guess that it's nothing short of fantastic because he really seems to enjoy what you do. It just seems like he's always watching you intently and he has a slightly different relationship with you than he does with Simon and Rachel.

Once again, great job. Also, great photos of the sunset. Merry Christmas to you and Rene and I look forward to hearing music from you in the new year. (Can't wait til Rachel gets a cd out of your In the Attic music!)

Hi Mikey, cute photos!I love Jerry. :)
I would so love to talk to her about divorce issues. Ooops, thinking aloud.

Hey, the show was great, Teman (I swear, I miss Karel)!!!
I hope they do loop it so that we could see it, something. I regret giving so
much attention to the chat, it's hard to do both at the same time.
Ah, well. But I do hope they play it again.
I just set this new sunset photo as my wallpaper,it looks great!
Love that yellow on the water.
Thanks! xoLisa

Mikey~ the photo of you in the tea towel is now in my folder. It's priceless, that is.....I may have just woken up the whole house from laughing, thank you very much!

The show was a true event for me, in that it made my Christmas before it even got here! I felt as if I was there with all of you, and it was just magic.
Thank you for playing the acoustic "Feel My Heat". You were right; different sound than the CD, but still SO uplifting....
Another highlight for me was when you and Rachel sang together....made me realise that you don't do that often enough!! It was brilliant.
Always love Jerry~ she has such finesse.......Around This Table is one of my favorite songs of Rachel's , because it is such a poignant tribute to a friend. We always see Jerry looking so beautiful and pulled together , yet that song reminds us of the pain she must have endured...and the strength of her character through it all.

You are all an amazing bunch~

even with tea towels on your heads!

Thank you very much for the posts and nice words Mikey. CSN&Y were awesome. They toured in 2000 and 2002. CSN (without Neil Young) still tours often. http://crosbystillsnash.com/ (2005 tour just eneded). Stephen Stills is a genius. Speaking of which, can you please sing "49 Bye Byes", a great CSN song penned by Stills. My next post, which I will write this weekend, will be a review of the 30th Anniversary Edition of Springsteen's Born to Run. I will also celebrate the 30th anniversary of Who By Numbers (in honor of Pete).

Have a great day my friend,

Happiest of happy holidays to you and your family!

I am writing a story called "The Journey". Chapter one - Day one, two and three are up. I would apreciate it if you would read it and give me your honest opinion? Thanks. Click on "The Journey" just above "about me" for a compilation.

After New Year chat at BallerinaGurls'. Check her blog or mine for the date and time. We would all like to invite you and Rene to stop by.
