MY NEWPHEW LUKE...

My newphew Luke visited me today, he's just passed his driving test, and came round in the car he's been working on with his Dad. He's mad about his car, just like my brother was at 17, it never affected me the same way, and I still don't drive to this day. I have always loved car design, and racing, but just driving from A to B doesn't excite me. I've made certain choices in my life, and I am completely happy with them. Luke probably thinks I'm mental, just like my brother Shaun thought I was.
I put the loop on of BASEMENT JAM, and Luke loved it, probably not as much as I did again. I saw the light fading outside the window, and grabbed my coat, and took Luke across to the beach with the camera. Got some lovely shot's, I've posted a few up here, I hope you like them.
So, I meant to practice some more songs for the CHRISTMAS SPECIAL on December 17, but spent the day with Luke instead, and Rene did go to work today, but came home early, feeling under the weather. So she's going to take the day off tomorrow, I told her not to go into work today.

Hope you like the photo's, if anyone's got any special request's for to play at the Christmas Special 'In the Attic', let me know, I'll see what I can do.

Cool Pics Mikey!

Guess What CD I Am Listening To?

That's right!! YOURS!

Let me know if you need help putting a page together on IAC like Rachel did. She is #6 already, and I know your music is really great also, so, why not put a page on there with one or two songs, not the whole EP.

I'm even thinking of doing it, not that my stuff is any good or anything, just to see what happens.

After driving in England for a week, I have no desire to ever do so again. It is the craziest traffic system in the world. My navigator (stephani) read the maps upside down, then yelled at me when we got lost. You're a wise man Mikey.

Want to see a beautiful and interesting photo - go to my blog and check out today's post. Now that is beau-tee-ful.

Hi Mikey!
I'd like to hear My Pigeon Friend again with Rachel chiming in on in on the chorus. It sounds so sweet that way.
I changed my profile photo, I'm wondering if it's going to work when I post at people's blogs.Trying for a softer edge.
Beautiful photos, might use one as wallpaper. xoLisa

Dear Mikey

Isn't it wonderful to be able to step out your door & see such sights & take amazing photos? I have that luxury, too! We are so lucky!

My older daughter will be getting her drivers license next year. Yikes!
I can't imagine living without a vehicle. We have both a truck & a minivan. We live in a remote area & there is no pulic transit. Everywhere we go is a distance to travel, so we really have no choice.

Again, lovely photos.

Heh, Dale, don't feel bad, I came back in here to say that I was talking about Mikey's photos were beautiful, I was going to use one of Mikeys as wallpaper. But it sounded like I was going to use my own profile photo as wallpaper! :P
Whoops! I was talkign about the sunset photo! lollolol

But also I was going to mention specifically on the pigeon song, that chorus totally sounds as if it was made for multiple voices to sing it.
To the point where you yourself asked for a sing along during the chorus.
Does it have Rachel
singing on the original track? It sounds so right when she is harmonizing on the chorus. And why can't you sell your CD's from here, anyway? Is it against blog policy?

Your pictures are terrific Mikey, the sunset shots are especially beautiful. I think it's great that you don't drive - and that you live in a place where you don't have to. I actually enjoy driving in England and Wales better than I do in the U.S., but only out in the country side!

Really looking forward to the Christmas special. Play the song that you are most excited about right now. Also, I'd love to hear you collaborate with any of the others. Your voice is so good that it always adds to a song and never subtracts!

Cheers,

Tom

Multi-talented Mikey,

Are you
a musician?
a painter?
a photographer?
any more hidden talents?

The pictures are amazing! Those colours on the sunset, oh man!

The Christmas Special sounds so exciting... I'd love to listen to "My Way" again and "Pidgeon Friend". Beautiful!

Mikey!!! haven't posted here in a while, but you and your music are always in my head....Been quite busy getting ready for Christmas....
When I'm home, I have the "loop" running constantly! You were SO wonderful....when I hear the song "YOU" start, I drop whatever I am doing and run in to watch!

Your photos are magnificent. I love the seaside and live only about an hour away from the Eastern coastline here in the states. There isn't a place I love more in the world.

Love to Rene and hope she will be feeling better very soon!!

So looking forward to Saturday~

It is well below freezing here in Pennsylvania~ Please play "Feel My Heat" !!

Much Love~

Hey Dale, at least you didn't type "pubic transportation"! I love typos!
When we were doing up the papers for our divorce, my ex's lawyer did a really bad typo. I caught it when I was reading the paperwork before it got legal. She wrote that one of my ex's jobs was with Pubic Radio as a part-time analyst! Pubic Radio! eeek! Because I'm a good girl, I pointed out the error.

Anyway, Mikey, the sunsets are amazing. Sunset or sunrise, if you are at the water, you will feel the magic and I love that you capture it so beautifully.

I second the motion for "Feel My Heat," I love that one and haven't heard it in a while.

Big hugs to Rene, sweetheart, rest up now.

Love,
Brina

Hi Mikey,

I love your photos! You are lucky to live close to the sea; you could take a photograph of the same beach every day for a lifetime and there would never be two pictures alike.

I've enjoyed watching you on "In the Attic" and in person at The Basement Jam, which was a fantastic evening, thanks to everyone involved.

I'll miss this week's Christmas Special, but I'm sure you'll have a great time!

I thought motorcycles were popular with the youth in England. Does Luke want a bike.
My favorite motorcyle mag is from England. It's called BIKE.

Motorcycles are cheaper on gas too.

Pictures are great!

Mikey,
I hate to drive cars. I understand your view. Mass transit is not very big in Texas. The entire country has turned it's back on the Rail System pretty much. Glad
to see more of your family. Hope your ready for Christmas.

Hey Mikey, I put the top sunset photo
as wallpaper, looks beautiful. Those oranges and pinks are so cheerful looking! As you know, there really is a
connection between color and mood. So when you can, after the christmas jam and everything, take some more sunset pics with the oranges and pinks? And blues?
lol. More sunset pics, period? Really enjoying the colors on my desktop.
Think I might go guitar shopping today.
Though I, too hate mass traffic and driving in it. Have a good pre-concert
day today. xoLisa

Hey Mikey!
I bought a couple of new(used) guitars,I've been playing them all weekend. hope you had a good weekend, no problems. One's a Peavey, and I just put coupleclipsup, improvisational stuff.
I'm just digging that Peavey, but I also bought a red acoustic/electric hohner that's really beautiful. I love it but that Peavey, I'm really playing the hell out of that thing. I actually posted detailed pics of them both, etc. That hohner has some pretty mother of pearl inlay on the word "hohner" and the doves on the neck.Heheh, I kinda want you to check out my blues jam cam improv thing.lol It's really not that bad. :)
I figured out how to two track the webcam. :)
Hope you guys are doing ok, Rene was really beautiful on video, she popped!
Like, she's pretty in pictures, but WoW! In video she was gorgeous! Not kidding!:)
